Some folks have advised me to use a pseudonym when writing any sort of copy or article content.

Do you guys use 'em? Any big pros or cons you can pass along?

thanks a mil

Pretty much all the copywriters I can think of just use their own names, although I'm sure there are exceptions.

You might also post your question in the Main Forum -- you might hear from article writers there. I'm pretty sure some of them use pseudonyms, especially if they write a lot of articles.

    its just a personal prefrence.

Michale Masterson comes to mind that uses one.

I've noticed that pseudonyms are usually only effective when the person hiring you as a ghostwriter is high profile. These kinds of people generally don't want anyone googling their ghostwriter's name, so they often request a pseudonym.

If you don't want to use your own name, then go all the way...create an entire character and have your writing and materials come from them. Fiction writers to it all the time.

First, listen to Personality In Copy by Dan Kennedy. Brilliant program, you'll discover exactly how to craft a character to be interesting and appealing.

Then, create your character, write out as much info as you can about his (Or her) life, who he knows, what he likes, what he hates, everything about him. Set up his websites, his business strategy, his niches, just as if he or she was a normal person.

Of course you'll set all this up with a view to making it as saleable as possible. So if you want him to sell direct mail information, you can put in his history the years he worked as a janitor, farmhand, laborer, waiter, until he discovered direct mail and mail order and used the information to become a millionaire within 36 months.
