Dirt Cheap Clothes on Ebay?!

I am researching sell used clothes on eBay however many items are dirt cheap. For example $1 for a shirt and $6 postage.
New the shirt costs around $30. Who the hell ans why would someoebe bithee selling a shirt fir $1, how can they make money from it. Surely they wil lose money on gas.
There are also Hugo Boss ties that sell for $3 whilst others sell for $30.
