Hi Warriors,

Do you know of any 3rd party solution to use sequential signup forms for any email provider? (I use Getresponse, but I'm interested in any solution)

What I would like to do is the following: Let's say I need various data for users on my list, like company type, revenue, etc to be able to target them, and I would like to ask them to give this to me in more then one steps, asking them to give more-and-more sensitive info when thhey start to trust me more, e.g.:
- first landing on squeeze page: just first name and email
- second step after giving more incentive: industry and some other info
- third step: company size and revenue, etc.

I'd like to be able to add these data to custom fields in my list so I can use them as filters, and I want to only ask the necessary questions at each step and not ask for their email adress again-and-again. I guess technically the users could be identified at the follow-up steps by giving them a unique link to the forms. What I can't figure out is whether there is any turn-key solution to this?

You probably already have the technology. Check with the techies at GR for the details.

The trick is to set up all the custom fields you need when you set up the list. You don't have to populate the fields on the initial opt-in. Just use hidden fields to set the ones you aren't asking for to 0.

When you want additional information, have them fill in their email address (or pre-fill it for them) along with just the additional fields you need. Use single opt-in for this, they're already on the list. The form handler fills in the additional fields in the database.

When the time comes, you can filter by email address and the fields you want to use. Specify the values you want to segment out, including zero.
