Sure... you can usually spam webmasters by using "Webmaster@websitename.com" (or net, org, etc)

Another address that works often would be "Admin@websitename.com"

As a webmaster who gets spammed alot, you'll have to understand that most emails simply aren't wanted.

I have no idea what you want to do with such a list, but the chances are EXTREMELY good that most will not appreciate the email.

Now, on the other hand, if you post where website owners hang out, and create an optin list, that's a whole 'nuther can of beans.

But my opinion is just that... mine. Hope you didn't take too much offense!

          Yeah cheets,
Maybe I am being presumptuous but my blogs and sites are just saw damn cluttered with nonsense.

I think that is why the response from above.

It is frustrating. Like I said I apologize if you are not trying to spam these Webmasters.

But many of us Webmasters have just been beaten down by it all.

And Akismet does not always work either, at least for me

If your goal is driving traffic to a blog. As others mention above, it's all about content, content, content!

It costs relatively nothing and will drive value for months and possibly years to come - but it's not an overnight success story.

Things like buying lists, funneling crappy signups etc. will only cost you money and reputation down the road. The last thing you want, is for your campaigns to get flagged for spam and have your open rates fall through the floor - killing what few quality leads you may have gained.

    Good luck!

Contacting people you don't know with "offers" will be very unwelcome indeed, because it's spamming.

If they click the "spam" button in their own email client software, when they open your email, the consequences can be awful (you'd be risking your email connection, domain-name, hosting, and potentially even prosecution and fines for not being Can-Spam compliant).

Email marketing that works is permission-based: you send "offers" only to people who have previously given you permission to send them email and who will open and read and pay attention to your email because they're expecting it and already know who you are. This is fundamental.

And, beyond that, you say that you need webmaster emails? So that's assuming your customer base is webmasters. Isn't that a huge pool of people? What kind of webmasters? Just those people who are dissatisfied with their current hosting? Webmasters who have an established email list or are trying to get one started? Do you even have a defined niche, beyond 'webmasters'? Once you figure out who is really going to want to hear your email message, then you are likely to know how to contact those people and it won't be by spamming them randomly.
