Email Marketing Automation

Hey,

Based on what I read here no one seems to be doing any kind of marketing automation?

Eg. someone buys product X, continues to receive autoresponder series Y until they purchase product Z at which point they receive segmentation series A, once they show interest in lead magnet B we email them engagement series C and email a marketing series D until they buy product E

and on and on and on.......

After looking into this for quite a while, there seems to be only two choices:

Infusionsoft - very expensive, $2,000 starting cost, not unlimited emails etc.

Activecampaign - affordable pricing, comparable to eg. Aweber, advanced tagging and automation systems

But I've heard that Activecampaign doesn't really like affiliate marketers.

Do you guys use marketing automation in your business?

If not, why not?

And if you do, how are you doing it?

P.S Stuff like Aweber pro tools improves the situation but really is not comparable to the full fledged power that you get with things like Infusionsoft and ActiveCampaign

    There are other options than infusionsoft.

    I looked at active campaign a while back and was surprised to see some of the stuff they don't allow.

    There are a number of different content types we do not allow with our hosted email marketing service. The list includes (but is not limited to):

    – Pornography

    – Sexually Explicit Emails

    – Illegal Substances or Goods

    – Gambling

    – Dietary supplements

    – Pills or Online Drug Purchases

    – Affiliate Marketing

    – Work At Home, Pyramids

    – Day Trading Tips, Forex, etc.

    – Get Rich Quick Schemes

    – Internet Loans, Pay Day Advances

    – Male enhancement products

    – Escort and dating services

    Sendpepper - Home is ontraport for users with less than 20K contacts. I don't think it has all services, but suppose to have the marketing automation.

    Marketing automatic is great when you have-

    1) A handful of closely related products
    2) A big email list of ideal customers
    3) A superior writer
    4) Nothing to lose if you burn your list

    Most businesses are moving away from email automation since they're more focused on building actual relationships and meeting individual needs....which automation completely ignores (hence it's low conversion rates). It definitely still has its value though within certain niche areas and it can really make a killing if implemented properly.

      I don't see it that way. You can do both. The automation is really just a way to send them through a rule based sales process(es)(funnel/funnels), but eventually they will drop out and go back into your general list. You can then continue with the relationship building/content until they raise their hand showing clear interest in something you offer and then go back into a funnel/funnels.
