How frequently can I send e-mail marketing messages to my subscriber list?

I hate it when I subscribe to someone and then keep on sending me things that I do not like. The mails they send are just fake. But what if I do the same to my subscribers. They would not like to receive fake mails but I would be sending them mails that have something that might interest them and that too in a format that does not look as fake as the usual subscription mails.

What I want to know is that how much time gap is needed after which I send them mails? Daily, Weekly, Monthly.

Instead of asking all of the questions that you have why not do what we have all done !

TEST and see only way you will get an answer , sorry for the tough love but you have to do before you ask

you won't learn if you follow others as it may not work for you what did for them and then you will come on here and complain

Every good marketer in the MMO niche is and has been where you are so my answer again is
TEST TEST AND TEST then come back here and asked a question so far I have counted 5 questions

Yes, test it. Try it and see. If you get a lot of unsubscribes, then you know something is wrong.

I am on lists where the marketer sends emails rarely, maybe once a month or even less. But then I'm also on lists where the marketer sends emails daily, and sometimes 2-3 times a day. So it really depends upon the type of list, people's expectations (which you can help set), and the type of information/offers you are sending them.

For example, if it's a list where people have opted in for training and techniques, then email less often with higher quality information. But if it's a 'gimme' list or 'coupon' list or 'daily deal' list, then email them offers all the time.

In addition to seeing if your unsubscribes increase, also watch if it creates any complaints.

Also, watch your conversions/revenue, there is nothing wrong with your unsubscribes increasing, if you revenue also increase at a pace that makes it acceptable.

The whole point of increasing frequency is to increase your revenue, so that should be the main statistic you look at and just keep your unsubscribes / complaints at an acceptable level.

I understand your dilemma, i feel the same way that if I send mails to my subscriber list it might get them annoyed and it would be counterproductive. I also have been struggling to find a definitive or at least convincing way to strike a balance between too many and too less emails per week/month.
