Can You Create a Profitable Email List Using Niche Competitions?

Hello everyone,

I'm a first-time poster and big fan of this community as I've learned some great things as a reader.

I just want to know if there is anyone here who's had any success building an email list through a competition; giving out prizes and later selling affiliate products to the list.

The competition would be unique in that I would want to use a fantasy football league to determine a winner of the prize. So, essentially I would be marketing goods that are popular with football fans once the competition is over.

My only concern is that I will attract people who only want a freebie. So, I thought I would ask if anyone has been able to successfully build an income-generating list from a competition or giveaway involving retail products?

    Today you can use this idea and instead of a freebie use

    A QUIZ or a CALCULATOR.

    So the people get more engaged.

    Calculator means as an example a tool which after some questions can determine how much calories a person need, but the answer will be in their mail.

    Let me start by saying, I've tried everything and I mean by Everything EVERY F THING to earn money online
    then I found EMAIL MARKETING
    Let me get right into it, the best way to build a targeted Email List for online business is by Buying data for your Targeted GEO, Niche... and start sending them Gifts Emails, CPA Offers, Surveys... and add a subscribe link and you will see the real magic
    I know that you will say, Build your own, Facebook Ads... bla bla bla
    Believe me I've tried everything, and nothing worked as I wanted till I found a guy who have billions of Email lists for all countries, all categories and all ISPs, Bought 10m for a veeery cheap price, and started sending CPA offers to this Emails with a link to subscribe at the bottom of the Email
    and now I have almost 40K targeted subscribers for 2 months of sending Emails PLUS I got more than the money I bought data with from The CPA offers I sent them at the beginning
    So start thinking outside the box and take action right now

    Sounds good to me Anthony.

    I would just address and feel my fear of loss (your fear of attracting tire-kickers) so you attract more prospering, clear folks who fork over money.

    I have a mantra that I repeat to myself: "People LOVE to spend money on Blogging From Paradise." And it is so

    This is the reverse of "People love a good freebie." Because you get what you are BEING, or, you get the energy you put out there.

    So...you will generate income through your list by embracing, feeling and releasing doubts/fears that you cannot. I answered this, not Yoda LOL.

    When I cleared this fear out, I connected with more folks who had the means to buy in or hire me, and it was so. All according to my vibe, which led me into specific actions, which yielded the profits thru my list.

    I have run contests before and they can work well.

    However, it's not as simple as just offering to give something away. There are laws you have to follow.

    You ideally want to give something away that is directly related to your niche. If you just offer a gift card, for example, you may get users that join just to get the gift card / have no interest in the niche.

    Also, you need to offer something with a decent perceive or real value. As you will likely find users less responsive to a low-value prize.
