How to monetize an email list.
Ok so right now I have a little over 1k emails.
I have them segmented based off of mobilve vs desktop, and stuff they've shown interest in.
I generate about 12 leads for free a day from my dog lover's fanpage posts, and I buy mobile leads for 10-12 cents and desktop leads for 30-60 cents from facebook ads.
I have an ecomm store that has various dog items on it, and I have a few dog niche affiliate offers I want to move.
People aren't buying from me though and I need to figure out a way to get money the money out of all of these leads!
Right now I'm pouring the desktop users into an affiliate offer that's a 5 day autoresponder that offers value and tries to turn them into sales. I have extremely high open rates, 30%-70% open rates in this auto-responder. And people are clicking through between 5%-12% of the time on my emails to the offer, but they aren't buying!
The offer sales. I was allowed to put my pixel on the vendor's sales pages, and thank you order forms, so I know that the other affiliates are converting sales with around 14% of the leads that they're sending to the same page I am. That 14% is the average of all 10 of the other affiliates authorized to sale this product.
I should be converting at least 14% of these leads too! I just don't understand. My leads are clicking through but they aren't buying, and the offer does convert sales. I feel like I missing something...My leads are gathered from look-alike audiences created from the purchase traffic. My ad relevancy scores in facebook are 10s
I thought it was basically this simple: Find a high converting offer - gather leads that are interested in that offer - warm them up and gain some trust - put the offer in front of them.
If they're opening my emails so much and clicking through at such a high percentage then obviously I have all of the above bases covered. What am I missing here...
