Hello guys,

I've been struggling to build my targeted email list. I don't have any website, no skills on paid ads as well. Is there any free traffic source to build a targeted email list ? I'm looking for a loyal subscribers using my squeeze page.
Thank you for your help !

You can use opt-in subscription like asking them send you an email with subject like 'Subscribe' or 'Opt-in'... and use iMarketing Center to pull those emails to opt them in.

What ARE you doing to create 'loyalty'? There is often a perception of new marketers that all you have to do is 'somehow' get people on a list and...the money will roll in.

Won't happen. Why don't you have a site or blog? What are you selling? How much/many have you sold? What skills do you have? Why not LEARN to place paid ads?

Every email on your list (except for the bots and fake emails - which can be a high number on some lists) leads to a REAL person ...if you want to sell to them you need to create a bond by offering what they want (products and/or information) and connecting with them.

        How do you figure?
Purchasing a fresh list + using a cleaning and verification service will most definitely allow you to mail and run positive roi campaigns.

I already tried this solution. It didn't work because the major of people are not interested which cause a lot of mark as a spam and
          I got many unsubscribes.

For doing this first of all focus on a particular niche.
Then you have to find out places where people post their reviews, questions, answers etc.
try to interact with them on gmail and solve their problem.

You could also just purchase a list in your niche.
As always, there will be tons of people on this forum who will tell you otherwise, but its still a very effective way to build a list and generate sales.

A good way to capture emails is by using an auto responder with a series of relevant emails pertaining to the needs of your subscribers. You might also want to test what days and time frames that you should be sending emails so that you can maximize.

If you're looking to send traffic to your landing page or squeeze page (without a website), I would suggest using social media.

Is your company active on any platform (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc)?
Using social to drive traffic is a great start.

ProducerK makes a great point - working with a reputable data provider to obtain an email list can give your email campaigns a boost while your inbound efforts gain traction.

Thanks Katie for your help. Unfortunately I don't have any skills on social media platforms. I think to hire a freelancer from upwork.com, however I don't know how much money I have to start with.
      Is 100$ enough as a budget ?

From my understanding, it's free to post a job on upwork.com. I would create an outline of the job, and once posted, see the average of what applicants charge per hour.

It doesn't matter the nature of the autoresponder. However the email list is the most important thing.

Maybe, he's confused and affected by information paralysis and informational overload?

Having or not having a website have nothing to do with building your own email list.
      You need three things:

      - the ability and willingness to deliver value;
      - knowing how to deliver that value;
      - delivering that value on a regular basis.

It's definitely possible to build a pretty good targeted email list without an actual website that uses stellar content to engage potential subscribers. You do, however, need to make extra effort to persuade people to sign up to the list in the absence of any compelling content.

The key here is an amazing lead magnet, otherwise referred to as an "opt-in bribe". This lead magnet is a digital asset you give away for free in return for a person's email address. Examples include ebooks, webinars, or a video series. You can host a simple sign up form on email marketing services like Aweber, and you can deliver your digital asset via LeadPages.

Next, you move onto traffic seeing as people aren't going to magically find your hosted form. If you don't have a Facebook business page, you need to get one immediately, and design a decent cover photo with a sign-up link to your form. Similarly, build a presence on Twitter, tweet industry-related topics, and pin a tweet about your form on your Twitter profile.

Without paid traffic it'll be difficult, but you can slowly build a list with social media presence alone. If you are very knowledgeable about a topic, you could contribute to forums such as this or Reddit or a Stack Exchange site, and include a link to your sign up form in your profile. For more tips check out sites like Entrepreneur, the Sales and Marketing Stack and Salesforce.

Why don't you create your blog on websites like blogger? All you have to do is create and post some quality content which gives useful information which holds value for the target audience.

Make your content clickable and shareable and ask users to subscribe for weekly or monthly content in their inbox. You can also create a small e-book or infographic and get the user-email before they can download that.

I have seen this working for many people and you could be one of them as well.

you can create a squeeze page on your own landing page or the easiest solution would be to create a squeeze directly hosted on the autoresponder

    Hello all

I have recently created a lead magnet which is a 25 Steps To Your First E-Mail List FREE Checklist delivered over a 5 day email marketing based autoresponder series.

Before I create any products though I am undertaking research on forums and also via numerous offline sources, to understand what my potential customer's problems are so I can create a solution for them.

By doing this, I hope to create an audience profile to then make it easier to find traffic. You cannot sell to an audience unless you know your audience and what they want.

Wherever you start, make sure you start somewhere and don't be afraid to take action. Sometimes being successful is a result of the mistakes you learn from when you fail beforehand.

    Hope this helps

Are there lessons to be learnt from all of these replies?

I think that lesson is be everywhere!

I learnt that from a guy called Pat Flynn who I found @ smartpassiveincome.com

His podcasts (which he posts on Itunes to be found on there) are awesome.

I was actually searching for 'how do I create an email list' on Youtube and one of his videos was on the first page. That example kind of proves my point. I found him because he was everywhere.

Once I know what my audience wants, that is also my plan. The bit I'm struggling with is where to start to find that audience so I know how to utilise the available platforms to reach them cost effectively.

    Thoughts?

'There is no free traffic source ."Your time and energy will be needed which is an investment in of itself . I would suggest that you get an auto responder to nurture and engage that list. Your gonna have to test a few plattforms to figure out where your audience is at .
