How would you design your lead magnet?

It is a normal practice for email marketers to give away e-books via their lead magnet. But I would like to know any other way of designing lead magnets. I mean what else can be given away for free other than e-books? Does a video series sound good?

    Besides text-based lead magnets such as reports, eBooks, whitepapers, and courses through email, you can offer video training, free trials for your software, discounts, audiobooks, etc.

    Sometimes people perceive video-based content as having a higher value than text-based lead magnets.

    can be ebook can be video, the real thing is: whats insde and how we communicate it (frame & perceive value).
    I've tried giving away a vdeo series n selling it on the other times, both works if we know how to market & sell it.

    selling it at a lower price will give it a better audience I think.

    A lead magnet can be a pdf, video, a software program or even a lead magnet. It must provide some value to the lead, enough to make the person open and read your mails and take action.

    I definitely think a video series is a great idea! Video content is more engaging and holds attention longer. If you are providing value, while also being humorous for example, that is a great way to freshen things up from the regular e-book lead magnet.

    Well people are tired of books ,if you offer them a great video that brings great value it will make a way better job than a ebook

      It's true free ebooks have been used since approx 2010 (don't quote me, just an estimatelol)...and so other things can be used...my top converting capture pages use a) free video or b) $5 off discount or c) just use a simple button that the headline has a series of dots after it like this : . . . and a button below that says "GET INSTANT ACCESS"


      Also, having an ''exit pop'' (exit pop-up) with the lead magnet on it can really really help too.

      I know I was caught up in a free 45 minute health product video sales letter as a consumer!

      Normally I'm able to ignore health product ads but this VSL gave me so much value I couldn't turn away. I ended up buying the health product and being satisfied with it too

    Your lead magnet should talk about problems in your niche. You may even give outline guidance on how to fix one of those problems.


    The lead magnet can also hint but not reveal, other resolutions to some problems (that your paid products can fix).


    As much helpful information as possible without giving away the farm.

    I think designing a video that brings great value its a more better option as people are tired of so many books and i think a videos its more apealing to them

    I sell online courses that teach people how to make products from leather.

    My lead magnet is a video showing people how to stitch leather by hand (a common question I get). At the end of the free video it seamlessly moves into a short VSL talking about the full online course.

    I find if your lead magnet ties in with your actual product, then it works better. So with your example, an eBook as a lead magnet would probably work well if you sell eBooks on your website.

    I think it would help if you shared what you sell so we can give you ideas for an appropriate lead magnet.
