Help With My Sales Funnel

Hey everyone!

This is my first time creating an email list and setting up a sales funnel so please have patience with me..

I've setup a squeeze page which redirects to an affiliate offer when the user has signed up, which is called the front end offer? The product I am promoting is average priced, around $25 and has an opportunity to make me recurring commissions.

I then send them an email with a link to the download page of their free gift. On the download page I am also going to be promoting a product. Should I be promoting a low cost item, high cost item, a product with a recurring bill, etc. Also, should it be related to the product I am promoting on the front end offer?

I am just really confused about all this. If someone could explain I would greatly appreciate it!

Please also note that my sales funnel is not set up, I think the offers on the front end and download page are the same, but as I said my funnel is not set up.

    For me after sending the email with a link to the download page, I would email a few more to build a relationship with them before offering them new products.

    It is to be said the 7th contact where most readers will jump in to buy.

    So build some relationship getting to know your readers more and offering them more value before doing a sales pitch for a product.

      True very few people buy upfront. In order to built success for the long term you must built and establish a relationship. After promoting the front end offer try adding value in the next few emails then pitch another offer.

    I did sign in to your list, i did not like the attack of the video what i did on my Funnel is a 10 Second Thank you page and then it's take you to a sale page (That i'm promoting).

    About Download Now For Free! well add some background or arrows the page is dead.

    the PDF you giving add it to box.com or your server to mach clicks for me :-)

    From what I understand there is no reason why you can't immediately upsell another product - from what I learnt this weekend at an internet marketing seminar it is usually a higher priced product - maybe an enhanced version of what you initially sold or something related to that first product.

    What you shouldn't do is sell something completely different - it must compliment or enhance what you initially sold.

    If they don't buy it, no problem. Start using your emails to build a relationship with them - put yourself in their shoes - would you buy what you're offering? - use the addage 'what's in it for me?' IE what benefit will your customer gain from buying?

    I'll be writing more about this on my blog fiveinthemorning dot com which is my own story of what I'm doing and how I'm hoping to get that all illusive first $1 online.

    a few things:

    1)your squeeze page isn't good... Its lifeless. I would suggest, you get one built for you. I have a fivver guy who, does great work pm me if you want his info.

    2) I dont mind selling affiliate products on the front end, as long as the back end is a recurring product/ service. Reason being if a client subscribes to your recurring product for lets say 3 months, at 15 per month, that's a life time value of 45. Instead of a one time fee for lets say 25. Also monthly charges allows you to keep the costs low. Would you rather charge 15 a month or a 35 one time fee?

    on the download page you can offer what ever you want that I consider the front end.

    the back end sales should come from the email. As far as how to go about selling through email I would sale in every email, that doesn't mean you cant have content in each email, but that there should be a click here in every email.

    Thanks everyone for the detailed replies! I agree my squeeze page needs a lot of work. Thanks for explaining front end/back end etc, I was pretty confused about this. Gonna get working on this right away!

      Hey Adam,

      I guess you took down your squeeze page, I just tried to have a look and I got an error page.

      The best way to find out what works best for your people that you putting on your list is... (wait for it, wait for it, wait for it...) Test, Test, Test!

      There are many ways to monetize the front end of list building. Like you said, there's high end offers, low end offers with up sells, recurring... etc.

      And, that also is true of your download page offers. Test, test, and test some more.

      The ONLY way you are going to find out what works best for you and your list is to test different offers and see which ones work the best for you and your new subscribers.

      There is no one size fits all in IM.

    Something else I think is worth pointing out when building your email list is to segment your list.

    After opting in to your squeeze page, the ones you purchase the upsell should be segmented into a different list, a buyer's list. These are the subscribers who will make you a lot of money!

    The people who don't buy the upsell go onto the prospects list. You can try to sell them the upsell later in your follow up. Until they buy though, they remain on the prospects list.
