You're a very good writer, and you'll definitely get faster the more you do it. It does take time to write quality articles, especially if you're drawing from a number of different resources. I think the next niche I try to get into will be something I know about so the research is kept to a minimum... Remember though, the main reason to post articles to directories is to put links back to your website/blog, I noticed you didn't do anything like that. |

hi everyone, i've finally finished reading all of the posts in the thread. it's good to have these kind of threads around for newbies (including myself). maybe i'll share a little something before i put in my goals and plans. i've been lurking around on warrior forums and digital point forums and suffering from information overload. been scammed by someone from buying an ebook to make money online. and bought another ebook which basically about making money using CPA network and various kinds of methods to drive traffic to your site. that's my story. but i have not start anything yet. so here's my plan for november (i know it's a little too late for november but better than never right?): 1) get a domain name 2) write 5 quality articles by end of this month 3) get a website up but still contemplating whether to use WP or get a full pledge hosting - any tips? 4) study the trend of my blog/site to see if it really drives traffic. if it does then i'll monetize my blog/site 5) still thinking about the other goals but will keep that for december i guess. any comments will be great about my gameplan. ps: i have a question, is there any affiliate network that i can get into easily and also international friendly? i've read that lots of networks now are pretty choosy on who they accept to their network... regards, shafiq |

Nice job... if you can do it once, you can do it 100x more. Still hoping on my first sale... I've had about 130 click throughs on my affiliate links, nothing yet... kind if figured I'd have something by now. I guess 130 isn't really enough to judge anything yet. On another note, I launched a simple website yesterday that took me about 3 hours to create, and it went to #6 right away with practically zero backlinking, and it's already got more traffic today than the first site. If I make 1 sale this month I'll be happy. That second site is making me hopeful again. |

Hi guys, Just an update. I've just registered my first domain and excited to see what i can achieve from this. Trying to do things one step at a time and climb up this learning curve. I've already mapped my domain on wordpress and now trying get my domain indexed on google by submitting it to google using the webmaster tool. It will be a slow progress for me as i'm still new this. Trying to get my tasks checked one at a time and learnin new things along the way. Trying to move forward instead of just sitting around and lurking around the forums and instead suffer from information overload. Any tips would be fine by me and wish me luck on my success. Will update you guys along the way. Regards, Shafiq |

I can not believe how fast this month has gone by. There is only about a week left in November and I know I still have a lot of work to do to get 5 sites up and running. I am going to do everything I can to try and make it happen. I hope everyone else pushes through these last 9 days in November and you either reach your goal or learn some valuable lessons this month. Here is to the final push. Good luck. |

I am starting to see more visitors to one website and hopefully the new one will be on page one soon, it is still at the bottom of page 2 for my main keyword so slow going but definately working it's way up I am doing a lot of backlinking and now need to add more content, still so much to do to make sure it stays there once it gets there I have definately learnt that if I stick to ONE thing it will pay off in the end. Hopefully no more jumping around for me. |

Hi SarahAnn, Congrats on the sale! Have you been able to determine where it came from yet?? I have just signed up with Amazon to add another revenue stream, but still early days for me. I assume you are using paid fb ads? TonyB |

Thinking about an article site with a top-located affiliate ad, two Adsense ads in the body of the article, and one or two Amazon ads on the right. Hoping to make all that look unobtrusive! Otherwise will try separate sites for just affiliate, one with just Adsense, one with just Amazon ads & see what happens (I have 3 tightly-related domain names that I could spin the same content for). One tip I can suggest for people just starting out on a shoestring is to find cheap domain name registration & hosting. I found a deal for $1 for a full year of hosting including a domain name registration, for instance. I also noticed that there were some eBay users offering something like that, although I can't vouch for them. Still might be worth a try - check to see if there are reviews for them before signing up, I suppose - to keep the costs for that minimal for the 1st year. Also enjoying reading this thread and the 235+ thread by LMC (thanks for posting here, too, LMC). That Halloween site was a real eye-opener! Count me in on those newbies overwhelmed with info - bought a $$$ package from someone late last year and didn't really do anything with it. Always found something 'more important' to do, or even just watching TV or whatever. Started reading up on things again, bought a few cheap things here and there, and the pieces slowly started to fit. I think it was a post or blog that ranted about the ripoffs out there in IM that got me to ignore the latest 'make a billion dollars in the next 5 minutes by just breathing in and out!' e-mail, start small and pick something to try. I've unsubscribed to lots of e-mail lists now, too, and that's helped. I went a little crazy domain-name buying when I found some niches to pursue, so the credit card statement will be a bit of a shock next month, but I've settled that down a lot now, too. Any thoughts on having a brand-new domain name that is an exact or 95% match to the target keywords vs. a pre-aged domain name that has one keyword in it? I thought if you had an aged domain name you could still get credit for a URL match if you either did a subdomain with the exact keywords or just a page-name with exact match. So if you were looking at "german shepherd bum sniffing" (not a real example, just to be clear! ) and you could get that exact .com name 'brand new' vs. getting something like "dogsywogsy.com" that was a 4-year-old domain name and having a page "dogsywogsy.com/germanshepherdbumsniffing.html" - any thoughts on the best way to go here? Woo Hoo for you, SarahAnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rOccO, after doing a lot of reading and subscribing, I've finally reached a point that I'm not worried that I might miss something by not taking advantage of the next amazing offer that will only be available for a limited time. I've settled on a plan for myself and I've unsubscribed from about a million lists and still trying to get down to 3 or 4. I wish I knew the answer to your question, sorry. Good luck and happy Thanksgiving everybody! |

Thanks Lynn and Tonybuk. I still don't know if it was from the facebook ad or one of the 2 search hits yesterday. I haven't a clue how to find out how to see that. I might put google analytics on it and see if that tells me in the future. I have had about 7 clicks from facebook and 7 search terms and the site is only a couple week old. So hopefully it can only grow from here |

Hey, I somehow made 42 cents from Adsense this month! Heh. I guess that was from plugging my Adsense ID into my Hubpages account, because I don't have it on my site at all. No, don't congratulate me, I wasn't even going for Adsense at all, but I thought that was kind of funny. Still zero sales, and my site is stuck at the bottom of page 1 for the main keyword, can't really get it to budge, but I think I suck at backlinking. I doubt I'll sell anything for November, but oh well. If I were starting today, knowing what I know now compared to the beginning of the month, I probably wouldn't have picked this niche, but I guess there's no point in giving up now. If nothing else, I think I know a ton more than I did at the beginning of the month. |

I am going to start outsourcing every single thing for 3 sites, and write myself a ton articles for the 3. I hope to whack up at least $10/day for all 3 sites, before flipping them, and concentrate on another 10 of those sites.

Wow... I made my first sale!!! With only 4 days to spare in November. I went through and made my site look a lot prettier, and made the sale that same day. I wonder if that had something to do with it? I feel so happy right now, haha. Maybe I spoke too soon. |

Congrats Matt That's great. I hope there are more to come for you I had another sale from a totally different website last night. They are both amazon review sites but set up totally different. haha the product sold was in the same niche but not one of the ones on my site. My only wish was Amazons cookies to last a bit longer than one day. lol |

I made $.31 this month in adsense, but it was from an unexpected blog. I usually get the clicks on a blog that generates clicks over $.50, but the last two months have seen clicks coming from a newer blog that only generates a few pennies per click. Progress Report: I set out to setup 5 blogs. Two were outsourced and setup for me. I recently mostly setup 4 other blogs, but yesterday I found a problem with WP Robot. I had to delete and recreate my master template from scratch, and then delete and recreate the four blogs as well. Yesterday I spent four hours and today I spent 7 hours just recreating the original master (Most of the settings are pre-set in the master template). I started recreating the first of the four blogs but got a bit burned out. If I count the master blog, I have completed 3 of the 5 I had a goal for. The fourth is well on its way and the fifth will not be far behind. I still stand a chance of reaching my goal. It all depends on what kinds of things take me away from the computer the next two days. |

With only a couple days left in the month. I don't think I will be hitting my goal of 5 sites, but I have had other exciting things arise that has made me switch what I am doing. We are couple days away from a new month and new challenges. I hope to see everyone over in the: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...challenge.html once this month is over! |

November's Challenge turned into much more of a challenge than I had expected or planned. I started the month with 3 reseller hosting services. The idea was that if one gave me problems, I could switch to another and keep going. Well, that idea bombed. 1 service refuses to reply to support questions, another had a server with incompatible hardware and the third was run by someone who could not understand English. Just as I was ready to close down the account with #3, it was bought out by someone in the US who took time to handle matters I requested immediately. I transferred everything from #1 to the new #3. As I was doing this, #2 moved my service to a new server, which apparently works well. However, #3 developed problems so I moved to the new #2. Finally, #3 owner decided it was time to move to another server, and did so, right my new #2 server. So much for my having a backup. After getting everything moved to #2, it developed a problem also so I picked up a baby account with Hostgator. I moved my personal work to HG and began working there. #2 has since been fixed and apparently has no problems now, but all that time trying to work when no one was up and running really cost me. Then there was the time dealing with all the moving, etc. Finally, if that was not enough, I started using WPTwin to replicate my master website template to other sites. The problem was that I spent the entire month setting up the template only to find out I did so with a defective copy of WPR. If it had allowed me to just replace WPR, it would not have been a problem, but once a site is WPR corrupted, it has to be deleted and recreated from scratch. That means everything related to WP has to be removed. Black Friday and Saturday morning, I spent the day recreating my template site and recreating the corrupted sites. Yesterday and today, I have spent my time touching up three of them enough to get them alive and active on the net. Yes, I met my November goal, but barely. In this business, you will have setbacks! Don't let it stop you. Pickup the pieces and get moving again. Even if you don't meet your goals on time, keep on plugging at it until you do. You are in a business guaranteed to be worth 5 and 6 figures per year minimum! Unlike the JOB that pays you $10 for each hour you work, this job may take 40 hours of work and only return $10 after a while. However, as you keep working at it, you will see that $10 return again and again, and again. It will eventually make up more than your $10/hour job. Additionally, when you continue working, you will get better returns. The first $10 may have taken 40 hours, but the next may only take 20, then 10, then 5, then 1, and finally, you'll be at the point where every productive hour you work will be worth over $100 and the income will not be as far down the road. Hang in there! In the end, it is worth it! |

Hi All, Just an update from me. On the downside - 2 websites up and running promoting Amazon products but not happy with the niche selection on either so scrapping them and starting again. I welcome any ideas on this. On the upside - I am learning how to put up a squeeze page, link it Aweber etc, am nearly there... Rizzy - head over to the December challenge now, thanks for setting this up as I believe it keeps us all motivated and focused! ps what are Amazon Cookies? |

I don't know what you mean by "scrapping them", but if it means recycling the domain name that has better uses, well, that might be good, but if you are able to keep the sites up and touch them up for improvement, that should be better. It is true that you don't want to ride a dead horse into the ground, but sometimes a horse needs to stop for a drink of water before a long gallop. If you scrap the site, I just hope you are doing so because the horse is dead, not just getting some water. Hang in there and keep on plugging at it. You will make it.

Final November Challenge Check in here... My goal was to launch 10 MFA sites - was not able to do that. Ended up launching 2 MFA sites that weren't exactly MFA as they pushed affiliate products as well. I did register another three MFA domains for December but it is probably cheating to count those :p Results? Three Amazon sales totalling $3.20 in commissions and another 4 google clicks for $2.03. Ok, so we made $5 this month. Not the best but just seeing even slow clicks and slow and low amazon sales is encouraging! A few insights - those 4 google clicks came off of a relatively low amount of traffic - about 875 uniques. Only one of these sites is optimized as a "true" MFA layout where the adsense blocks are optimally positioned. This site had 66 visitors and 1 click so clearly, optimization does work even if my personal CTR is like 1.5% :] |

I've been working on one site. Published 12 articles for it. Now I am spinning it and then submitting it to article directories. Started linkbuilding too. The progress is slow but it is what I expected because the niche is competitive.

MY results for November: I made 3 sales on 2 of my Amazon review sites totalling $14.72 in aff income not a huge amount but more than I was getting so I know something is working. I got one adsense click: $1.30 I am anywhere from page 1 to 5 with my main keywords. Also I stayed focused on 1 method for the whole month. I am normally jumping between 4 or 5 so a huge breakthrough in mindset So good bye November and bring on december and my squidoo and hubpage goals. |

Those guys saying they're only getting a couple of visitors... have you double checked in your stats they're actually people and not simply bots [google/yahoo/bing/etc]? Just saying. As they can inflate numbers, particularly when you have very low traffic. lol, with my username what it is... I just have to point out that .6 TIMES THREE = 1.8  [not times two...] |

keep it around. It costs you next to nothing to do so, just the ten bucks or so in domain registration. And simply at the end of the year going back and looking at the analytics should be an education from the historical stats is worth the ten dollars when you are starting out | |
