10 of the Best Storage Apps

Do you remember when you used to have those floppy disks? They had a small memory capacity and would easily end up corrupted or broken, I used to have that for school and would make sure to have more than one because I couldn't really risk getting my projects (which were mostly Word Documents) corrupted and would be forced to start from scratch because there was no way to ever recover them! Ah, it was a hassle then. Then we had CDs and then USB sticks that provided more space. CDs requiring a burner which wasn't very convenient when you're in need a quick save for documents, helpful for backups though. USB sticks started of with 256mb (or maybe less, I don't remember much) and eventually went from that to 1TB capacity in a tiny stick. I remember being amazed and it made life easy, transferring files, making backups, storing school projects but it also would carry all kinds of viruses depending on which computer you've stuck it in. Ah, the old times.....

Now we have online storage! It's easier if you always have access to the internet and it has a huge capacity for anything and, well, everything! You can even collaborate with people and edit documents together, which makes projects easier to do even if you and your workmates are halfway around the world. I listed 10 that I think are pretty good options and of the ten what I use the most is Google Drive. I'm sure you have others that work better for you, but with me, it's easy to collaborate on articles or story writing with a friend with Google Docs and the fact that it's stored there, I can even edit and type on my phone or tablet. It's convenient for me. I don't use much space, 15gb is enough for all my stuff and photos.

Which of these storage apps fits you the best though? Do you use something else? I know there are a lot here who use Mediafire and I have used that too and 4shared.

Nice info. I'm using Google and Dropbox regularly. Onedrive came with the Office pack, so I'm putting documents there. Quite a mix actually now that I think about it.
I've also been using Koofr lately, especially since it allowed me to connect my two Dropbox accounts and Google ones into it.

Yeah, it's really a mix. Even I use multiple ones, mainly because of function and features.

Koofr, I haven't really checked that one out, but wow, so you're able to access all three of them through one app? That means all your files are easily accessible.

I found it recently, it is some european storage as it appears by their page, few years old. But yeah, I like how I can search through my Dropbox and Google accounts inside one app.

It's very convenient and I don't think that's a feature a lot of storage apps have. It easily sets them apart. But I wonder though how privacy and security goes. Does it bypass Dropbox and Google Drive's security policies?

I think not, as I've seen so far, no files get copied or anything, Dropbox is connected through the API and I can disconnect it in Dropbox as well I think. I've also read some blog posts on their site and they look quite oriented toward security and privacy. As I said, I've only discovered them recently (a month or so ago), and so far it works for my case, saved me some time switching through Dropbox accounts. Would actually love to read a review from someone here as well, to see if I've missed something.

Looks like that's pretty good then. I would want someone who has used it a lot to review it too. I'll read up on it and stuff. It's really convenient. If Dropbox approved an API I would assume it's fine.
