Hello Warrior Forum,

I`ve been lurking for a while now and tried to figure out where to start, or which product to buy. There`s so much information everywhere and people claiming they made X amount of money over Y amount of time, I don`t know which one to trust.

Here`s a little information about myself. I started my Internet career promoting CPA offers using fake content. That way, I made quite a little bit of money until Google upgraded its algorithm a few weeks ago. I am now stuck with very low earnings. I would like to understand more about the internet marketing fundamentals, such as how to create a product. Now, I've got quit a bit of money in bank for me to start new ventures. What coaching / product would you recommend for a beginner like me to start making money online again?

Charles,
#start

    None of them!

You are about to get loads of advice from people telling you how to get started. There is only two things you need to know to start your online business.

    1. Sell something
    2. Keep the email addresses of your customers

You said you wanted to start some new ventures. Check out the Joint Venture section. It is easier when you work with someone.

      Thank you.

It seems so simple to sell something. I've never sold anything before, how can I do this?
Is there anywhere I can learn all the fundamentals? I've made over $15k this year with CPA offers, I got $3'000 left to invest in my next ventures.

I agree. Do some research before you spend anything & then find a good product to sell from amazon. Setup a website with an autoresponder, adsense, related ads & then add content 3-4 times a week until you build up a solid stream of free traffic. The road to riches isn't easy or fast but with dedication can pay off in the long run

    Hey Cwookie!

    Here's the thing...

    Save your money. For now.

And I'm going to tell you why.

Before you lies a few truths and a million lies. More specifically: there are tons of useless products and a few good ones. The trick is knowing which ones to pick; of course, the odds are not in your favour. So! My suggestion to you is this: wait until you know enough to pick a good product or service. Easy to say, but how to implement? Devote yourself to reading what free information you can find; whether here or on WF. And don't be afraid to ask questions. I've been at this 20 years and I'm happy to ask for advice. The more you learn, the more the good methods will begin to appear to you. You'll come to learn what will work and what won't. Then, and only if you can't get the knowledge free of charge, then is the time to grab your credit card.

I wish you all the success in the world. You came to the right place to find it!

You're quite right. It's an undertaking, to say the least.

I'll try to give you a more definite plan of action.

        Plan of Action

        1. Assess your Abilities

You may have writing ability, design ability, social networking abilities, and many more. Ask yourself what you're good at. You'll get good at more things as you progress, but for now, assess your current strengths.

        2. Locate A Method

There are thousands of ways to make money online. Now, finding a working method is no easy feat, so you will have to spend a bit of time investigating. Some of us make money from domains, teespring, web design, Amazon, affiliate marketing, and so forth. So, round up the methods.

        3. Which Method is right for you?

Next step: combine (1) and (2). Which method could you pull off?

        4. Free Information

Now that you've isolated a method that you know is making some of us a nice income, now is the time to learn more. Get what knowledge you can for free.

        5. To Pay or Not to Pay

Most of the best information is not freely available. Take me, for instance. Yes, I'm helpful; yes, I contribute good information; but, and it's a big but, I rarely spill the beans entirely. If someone tells you they do, on an important method, then they likely want something from you or they're just trying to increase their profile by seeming like a great guy or lady. Truth is, most of us sell information - which is where you can make pretty good money. Question is: when you get to stage 5, do you need to pay? A lot of the time, you don't. And, hey, if you don't - then save your money. Some of the time you do, of course. But by the time you reach (5) you'll know whether you have to or not.

      Hi all!

Interesting thread! Good luck to you Cwookie!
I am also starting in the internet business and perhaps this is the right lace to ask my question. Would be great if someone could share their experience on how to evaluate the competition in a certain niche? I have few potential products in mind and would like to start with finding out how much supply already is out there. Are there any efficient strategies?

      Thanks in advance.

        Hey DAlgirdas,

You're thinking the right way. Before I set anything up, even after 2 decades of working online, I always plan, plan, plan. It's key to success.

You can spend weeks or months assessing the viability of a new product or service offering, but I can give you some pointers to get you on your way.

        1. Search.

Use Google Keyword Tool (or a better piece of software). Look at the search terms used, look at the volume. What are people asking for? Are they using buying keywords? Do they mention any specific product or service suppliers? What's the ranking and PPC competition like? Low, medium, high? These questions and more.

        2. Trends

Take a look-see at Google Trends. Is your potential offering trending up or down? You'd prefer it trending up. Are enough people responding to that trend? No? Even better!

        3. Paid Traffic

If you can create a BASIC version of your product or service, and it's digital, then consider releasing a free version to test the waters. Have people opt-in to your newsletter to receive it. This is a great way to judge demand and get feedback that can actually improve the product or service you intend to release. Use Solo Ads, AdWords, Bing Ads. There are many others.

        4. Check Out the Competition

Do some snooping. Check their social network accounts, grab copies of software to snoop further (Google them; I don't want to promote them), WHOIS them. Find out all you can. See how they operate.

        5. Forums & Social Networks

Join forums, groups, and pages related to your proposed offering. This is how you begin to understand your audience. In fact, it's one of the reasons I post here. I'm intent on learning more about other IMers. If I can learn what people need, what they want, then I can continue supplying it to them.

        I hope that helps, buddy.

Wow thanks for the exhaustive answer.
Your idea about releasing a basic trial product was new to me. It does sound like a good way to gather real feedback on your product.

    Charles,
Hi Charles, depends on what your niche is there may be different behaviour you shouold have. The real deal is to see what success people do and investigate deep in their action.

Then follow people that publish income report, like mine on my website, not people that claim income.

Then learn the tools (read the blogger what did they use and what they promote). Most of the good performance comes from good actions (you can learn reading and investigating on others websites) performed with the right tools (plugins, pages, CMS, softwares) and done with consistency.

I highly recommend you to invest in building a successful blog online.

Pick a Niche you are interested and passionate about. Then learn all about internet marketing and implement the strategies to build up the daily traffic flow to the blog.

The next step would be to Monetize your blog with the right products with the right Funnels.

Invest in an Autoresponder and start capturing leads to build up your email list. Then simply follow up with them to make some sales.

Blogging has been the best strategy I have used to get free traffic online. A great way to make money a lot faster in this industry would be to join a Network Marketing Company Online - with a powerful Compensation Plan.

Network Marketing Companies Online have a lot of team leverage, thanks to the way they pay you. This is exactly what I do to make money online. I use blogging and internet marketing strategies to build my teams.

This is the best advice I can give you on this topic. You can definitely make it happen. You just need to learn the right knowledge and be as consistent as possible with the necessary work!

    I hope this helps!

I wish you the best of the best!

    Cheers!

You can work as affiliate marketer and start promoting links for getting commissions.
You can make your ebooks and post them online for selling and getting paid.
You can provide services through sites and get paid for working.

Since you've obviously had success with CPA, why not create an info product about CPA marketing. An online course, membership site, etc.

You could use it as a gateway to create a buyers list, make money and then expand it to a private coaching program.

If you didn't want to bother with product creation, you could always investigate top tier direct sales. Something that has a larger return on the back end.

Either way, congrats on you success. you're off to a great start.

Other warriors would be very interested in learning how you made the $15k in CPA offers. Create an ebook outlining how you did it. Buy a WSO entited: "How I make 15k in CPA Offers". I bet a lot of people would get your product.

I would agree with some of the comments here, people would be very interested in how you earned with CPA.

So my advice is to create a product and build a buyers list. A product doesn't have to be complicated it is a one question one answer type thing, people are willing to pay the right price for a new piece of information. Especially if you have made money with it.

If you are not into creating a product then i would say look into list building, a email list is 100% yours and you can market to a customer list however you see fit, a buyers list though is very powerful because once someone buys from you, they are most likely to buy from you again.

This is all just advice, do whatever you want.

    Best of luck

Before you decide where to start, you need to decide where you want to go. You need to set a realistic goal with a timeframe and decide on one method that will take you there. Getting the right coach can save you a lot of time and money and heartache to get to where you want to go much faster than if you figure it yourself. Do some research and contact the person to see if you two are a right fit.

    Hi,
I guess the only way to really crash it is to start making your own product, for me, e.g. that happened on Udemy. But I also have my own websites. I think that is what you need for long-term success. Maybe you want to check out my course right now on Udemy as it is there for just $12 instead of $97 (Black Friday Sales they have right now).
It´s also not about who you trust but about what you do. To get things out of the ground you need to invest work once and then earn from it forever :-)

Take your $3,000 and put it all on Red at the roulette table in Vegas. Then you'll have $6,000 to invest when you win.

Alternatively, you might want to try creating an information product telling how you made the $15k on the CPA offers in the first place like IvoryPearl mentioned.

I read only 2 top advices and I would say they both said very well. But if I would be there where you are right now I would pick some mentor. There not be any other easy shortcut than this. Ofcourse it will cost you some bucks but it will save your lots of time. And to choose your mentor read his sales letter and his testimonials and price and then start a free session with him and ask him how can he help you. This way you can start faster.

You can do it at your own too but this way you will waste lots of time and may be some money too.

As first you need to learn basics, but don't complicate to much. I was in the same position, but I learn one simple model. Chose one method which fit you the best.

Learn it (pick/generate a hot converting product), then do it, drive traffic to it and build your list. Build relationship with that list, market to it, share helpful tips and focus on 80% value 20% promotions.

When you stick with product/offer and it is successful, take profits, scale up and then teach other to do same as you. This is the easiest model that almost all out there are using

I also start with SEO and was at the mercy of goggle, but later I start with paid traffic, because it is scalable and much more reliable..

I would say diversify, I been hit hard by some Google updates and I learned the lesson the hard way. Consider diversifying your marketing efforts like for example doing video marketing, or using solo ads to build an email list, as always the money is in the list if you have a list of 10k people you have more chances of making money and generating traffic on demand anytime you want.

That's the best advice I can give you.

I would start by growing traffic first and not just ONE place. For instance G cause as you may know now. If they decide that your site is not going to get listed, you are fried !
So build traffic (whatever niche you want to work with) and don't stop doing it. Then send to various offers/networks to see what's converting. Without traffic, nothing's worth it.
There's always cash to be made with traffic so...

Cashed out a little over 18 grand in a 4 months. It's really what got me excited and really started to comprehend the power of this industry. I've never slowed down since!

It first understanding we have a tool that can reach a worldwide audience and we as marketers look at it as a business tool to put products and services in front of people all based around supply and demand.

The two sexiest words in the world. "supply and demand"

There are so many different ways you can leverage this tool. The real power I believe is in leveraging your marketing efforts by building yourself a list again all based and research around supply and demand.

Now the part that 95% of people have trouble is is marketing. The key here and this is based on my own experience and results are to step back and write out your demographics for your ideal customer. Also, what do they like, where do they go online, what are their hobbies and so forth...

Once you have a good comprehending of your ideal prospect or customer you can find out where they are online much easier and you can create content and write ads that will convert much better for you. Which brings me real fast to my last point and that is what ever it is you decide to do to make a little extra money :-) is just understanding you can't start at the end. Meaning don't expect to do a little marketing and hit a home run. It's going to take optimizing your work on a daily basis.

It's easy though. Just copy what other successful people are doing and start there.

Write yourself down some goals and plans...
