    Have you tried Digital Point?

I'm not sure but it's worth a shot.

Digital Point forum doesn't provide do follow backlinks. Most of the quality forums won't allow do follow links due to link farming and spamming.

Sig links in here from my own experience are minimal for SEO

Rather than doing links in posts, you should maybe look into forums that allow dofollow signature links. Most forums don't allow in-content links directly in forum posts because it's spammy. Signatures are often allowed and that's what they're there for.

    Hi Guys,

Warning: The last time I read up on SEO things were much simpler, Im now launching a start up on a tight budget and am behind on post panda SEO.

I have an opportunity to get signature links from a friend who is active on a personal interest forum in a category semi-related to my startup. Being the best bro that he is, he has agreed to insert links into his signature pointing at my site. I just have a few questions on the best way to do this.

Can the link be as simple as link text being a keyword Im trying to optimize for, or does it need to be in some type of contextual context?

Also is there any benefit to using no follow links?

Finally is there anything missed that I should include to optimize these links?

    Thank you guys in advance!

As a general rule of thumb, any backlinks that are easy to generate and duplicate are likely near-worthless.

Don't waste your time on getting links on forums. It is useless. Create webs 2.0 do-follow lists and post your URLs to those lists. You get better links as they are contextual links and not forum spam links.

You got me, what exactly is that? Is there an easy to follow example or guide/forum post I can find somewhere?

What are these lists you guys are talking about?

Edit: Disregard, google answered that quickly. Thanks for your input guys. Its been a while since I paid attention to SEO and I am just now gaining some perspective on modern optimization.

OK I just read the Google Link Schemes article. Is there any value to having my buddy post these links aside from potential for organic traffic from these forums? (Which may still be valuable in this particular circumstance, so I may just generate no follow links for the sake of it)

What is your aim? Why are you looking for dofollow forums?

I have a business where I sell physical products. There is a decent chance some people on some of those forums are in my geographic location and may at some point be interested in purchasing products/services from me. Could I be penalized/categorized as spam for having these links?

for clarification, these would be signature links not forum post content links

Do signature links still have SEO value? Is there any risk of being penalized by using signature links?

There are many sites who follow the Do-follow back link, such as dofollowforums.org, talkgold.biz, forums.digitalpoint.com, theimforum.com, pub38.bravenet.com, whangout.com, internetmarkting.com & so on. You can check with these site. You have to remember that you need to use the relevant forum only. Thanks a lot.

Using forum links for SEO is just going to get you PENALIZED

Xrumer and its rampant use made sure of that

I suggest you use forums the WAY THEY WERE MEANT TO BE USED: to build niche credibility by adding value to forum members' lives.

Forum links are virtually useless. No one ranks with that.... forum links just to gain traffic.

Rather than forums, I would suggest you using twitter and write legit comments on topics related to your market, you could leave your links here, which is dofollow. Good luck man!
