If you're using a self-hosted solution your problem can be arising for many reason.

One of the basic reasons is because you don't have relationships with ISP's yet. Once you build up a good sending reputation it will be easier to get inboxed on ALL ISP's. Try using a SMTP relay that already has relationships with the different ISP's you want to deliver on.

Also, make sure you scrub your list before mailing. If you hit to many dead e-mails or honeypot and spam traps you wont get inboxed at all.

You can try to use ArpReach. I've had a little more success with them. Or you could try cleaning your list and importing it into MailChimp. It's not a dedicated solution but you should be able to get mailing with them ASAP if the list is actually yours.

There could be a variety of reasons, just checking that your IP address isn't blacklists isn't enough.

Some of the things we discover when people have issues getting their emails into the inbox of their readers (I'm the owner of arpReach BTW) is that they have not

      * set-up reverse DNS for their domain name
      * set up valid SPF record for their domain
      * might not have a valid DKIM record
      * 'warmed up' their IP address

Combating spam is a high priority for companies like Gmail, Live etc etc. and as DeShawnSmith says, you need to build up a relationship, not just with your reader but also the companies that your subscribers use to receive email.

There is no 'magic wand' and it can take time to build up your reputation but it is worth doing!

Also don't forget about the content you're trying to send. Does it contain spammy words? Are you asking ppl to buy now? Does it contain links to undesirable (in the eyes of GMail) locations?

Good luck and although I'm obviously bias arpReach is a good solution, not least as it allows you to use multiple SMTP ESP's in addition to your own server's outbound email.
