Hi Warriors,

Article marketing is always more effective than any other methods (at least to me, that is).

My question is this: How do YOU deal with "duplicate content" problem? Any idea?

1. Always submit an original article to EZA and wait until it is approved before submitting the same version to other directories. This is your bread-and-butter directory, so don't anger them by submitting articles that might already be showing elsewhere (like GoArticles, etc.).

2. It's ok to put the same article on your own website, but again, wait until it's approved at EZA.

3. If you have the time, you can slightly rewrite each article one or more times before submitting to other directories, but I think the time is better spent creating new articles.

4. I have many examples of the exact same article showing up in Google SERPs from different article directories. So there is no "duplicate penalty" in that regard. You just don't want to post the same content twice (or more) on your own site. That's where a duplicate penalty might kick in, although some debate whether even that really matters.

  Well, think about that for a second. Lots of people use articles at EZA and other directories for their own sites and blogs, right? I believe the worst that could happen is Google would ignore the page (or relegate it to the supplemental listings). I definitely do not believe there is any kind of penalty associated with this practice, as in Google de-listing your site. If that happened, there'd be all kinds of fallout and people would be clamoring about it here on this forum and all over the place. I don't see it anywhere. That's a good indication that it's ok.

  Duplicate content is NOT a problem when submitting articles as long as the articles are unique (written by you).
  
  I usually first put an article on my site - let it be indexed, and then it's submitted.
  
  I do agree, though, with submitting to EZA first when making submissions - they seem to get more juice from Google.
