What's your recommendation? "timed" pop-ups for subscriptions

Just wondering what plug-ins or software you're using to create popup boxes for your newsletter subscriptions? To be clear: we do not want make changes to our theme or email programs.

Looking for stand alone software or plug-ins. Require something that pop-up after "x" amount of time on a page, pop-up when someone gets to a specific area of your page and that will stop showing up after (let's say) someone has visited your site 4x.

Thanks

Looking forward to your responses.

Optin monster is one of the best plugin to show pop ups subscription box on your blog. It comes with lots of free and professional templates and easily integrated with Aweber, Getresponse, Mailchimp etc.

Thrive Themes, Instabuilder, WP Profit Builder, to name a few, just google them and visit their sites to see the features and pricing.

Thrive themes used to be hybrid-connect and in my opinion is one of the best out there. Although, they are quite pricey

I prefer the sliding bar approach. Less obtrusive and less annoying. Using apps provided by Getresponse. They include:

    Download Box
    Fixed Bar
    Image Box
    Sign-up Box
    Exit Pop-up
    Scroll Form
    Shake Box

I agree about the sliding bar being less annoying. Personally, I'm more likely to pay attention to the sliding bars whereas I mostly just feel annoyed at the pop ups and want to close then ASAP to get back to the content I was reading.

How about Convertplug from Codecanyon? It works for me perfectly.

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I hate newsletter pop ups!!! Maybe if the pop up would come up after i as the users completed some action that showed I have further interest in the subject/product or whatever. I can' close those popups fast enough sometimes.

MailChimp’s Form Builder allows you to create and style a signup form that launches in a pop-up modal when someone visits your site. The Form Builder allows you to customize the pop-up signup form and promote giveaways, contests, and offers on your website.
