1 Powerful Concept that Grows Your Business
Mindfully.
Versus desperately running from prospect to prospect, or from number to number.
This idea sounds simple, and like common sense, but I wasted years of my online career trying to manipulate numbers, and even worse, chasing folks not interested in what I had to offer, or even worse (this was so silly), NOT connecting with people who were highly interested in what I had to offer.
When I say "Connect" I mean, spending 1-2 or even 5 minutes writing an individual, or speaking with them, or messaging them, or however you choose to connect with them, to help them, to engage them, and to be memorable.
In most cases, it won't be about business. It will be about free service.
Example: 5 minutes ago someone commented on my blog. He noted buying the eBook I linked to, through the blog post. I responded to his comment, addressed him by name, thanked him for purchasing the eBook, then clicked his link, read his latest post, commented on it and tweeted it out to my 52,000 followers.
This is a connection; a mindful act of spending a few moments to show love to folks who dig what you are doing. Then, these connections grow into friendships - and of course, repeat traffic and sales and comments and your business grows - and the more of these friendships you develop, the more connections you grow, and everything keeps expanding for you, business-wise.
I was such a dingbat for many years, trying to desperately sprint ahead to the next 100 people I needed to meet, versus making strong connections with folks who obviously loved what I had to offer, but this tendency is rampant here on the forum.
Because many Warriors focus on those bizarre things called numbers. Which are inanimate, And, unfortunately, a number never bought my stuff or hired me, nor will any inanimate object buy your stuff or hire you.
Connections though, these folks whom you spent 1 or 2 or 5 minutes chatting with and helping, and whom you re-visit each week, or maybe even daily, these people will grow your business steadily, and slowly, and over time, as your friend network expands, they will grow your business quickly.
Are you focusing heavily on numbers or outcomes? Or people who have no interest in your business?
Or do you spend a few minutes to genuinely connect with one human being at a time?
