If I have a decent WSO...how many sales can I expect?

There's no way to predict it... far too many variables.

'Decent' is subjective.

I've launched WSO's that have made tens of thousands, and I've launched WSO's that didn't get a return on the $20 posting fee.

As great as the WSO board is, you're dealing with cold traffic.

That was OK 10 years ago, but now I think you gotta spend more time warming people up before they buy, since trust is in short supply.

On top of all that, the forum is running on very old software that does not let WSO sellers make use of current marketing technology - so you're immediately at a disadvantage.

Personally, I'd invest the time and money into building an email list and promoting to them instead.

For the sake of transparency, 54 clicks have cost me $3.81, on a new Facebook ad.

You could have the greatest WSO ever, but if you dont promote it right, you wont get much sales (if any). It's all in the marketing. And people wont buy it if they cant find it - and believe it.

You will need decent marketing and follow up to go along with your decent WSO

Decent WSO's are a dime a dozen, so, decent WSO's sales depend on the marketing that goes with them.

Some marketers get a decent number of sales, some get an indecent number of sales.

Choose which kind of marketer you want to be and apply yourself to becoming that kind of marketer.

Long way to say, it do depend.

Yet an important part did not fit in there. So here it is: a decent WSO in a decent niche backed up by decent marketing... Now you're talking boss!

Isn't that kind of an oxymoron?

I kid, of course. I know there are some great WSO's.

Asking us to quantify the unquantifiable is an exercise in futility.

Now maybe...if we were familiar with the product and the quality, among a million other variables, and we'd sold similar products ourselves, we could guess.

Is that what you're looking for?

Taking into account some of your other recent posts, I would say you probably won't sell any or many your first time around.

And that is true no matter how good the WSO is.

How can that be?

Because no one will ever know how good your WSO is without the proper marketing to the right audience. Just putting something up there is no guarantee of any sales. And, it seems (even though I could be wrong) that you are just starting out with some important marketing activities such as list building.

In fact, I'd say that the great, great majority of WSOs over the years have sold 0-10 copies. That's just a guess but it's based on looking at some payment systems that list how many sales a vendor has made.

Now, I'm not trying to frustrate or dissuade you from doing it if you have a truly valuable offer. I'm saying even if you fail, to get back up and try again. Most people that make it big, do so only after repeated failures but then they learn from their failures and adjust.

If it is a good produt, you will get atleast 100 sales...

It actually depends on your Sales and Marketing Strategy. Unless until you share some Discount or FREE Review Copies to your prospects, they don't buy from you.

How do you promote your WSO, signature, paid ads etc etc.

How proactive you are in participating in Pots or replying to your WSO Inquiries.

Dealing with the dreaded "What If" simple answer is if someone will buy it they will then you make a sale(s) !

But you have to define what is success for you...! as it only affects yourself

Based on internal tracking, the best WSOs get up to 25 click throughs a day.

Whether those clicks translate to actual sales though is something beyond what we can track

I would say it's absolutely impossible to predict it, way way too many variables at play. The best thing to do is just go for it, and the one of the most important variables is how well you market it. You very well may have the best WSO ever, but if you don't market it the right way, it won't do well.

It's best to focus on just getting it done and getting it out on the marketplace and you'll find out that way

I personaly had over $10k weekend WSO's back when I use to do WSO's. It's about a few things honestly, providing a proper sales page that FULLY explains what you are offering. Offering a seamless purchase experience and always over-deliver. Pay it forward.

The number one misconception of people who have never run a WSO before is that putting up the WSO is a comprehensive marketing plan for their WSO.

pay the money and a ton load of sales will come in.

They get this from seeing successful WSOs in the forum. What they don't realize (and this was true even many years ago) is that the traffic was often being generated through JVs and lists the seller had - not just the normal forum traffic.
