Helping businesses and brands build credibility on Social Media

Guys,

I help business owners and brands build credibility on the internet, be it Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Spotify and YouTube.

I help them gather likes, audience and mention etc. So far it has been word of mouth publicity only.

I want to grow more, how should I go about that - Set up a marketing agency or tie up with existing marketing giants?

What do you suggest?

Why not both? Why not work with existing marketing companies and with businesses directly?

How about sending a letter via direct mail?

Press releases / articles in community magazines?

It's relatively inexpensive to send out a mailer these days. Might be worth a try...

What does your existing audience (your prospects) want from you? What solutions are they seeking that you can fill?

Once you understand the demand for your services in the marketplace, it should be fairly evident how you can best meet that demand.

Do you have the resources and solutions on your own to solve the problems of those that will be coming to you for help?

Do you have the money, skill and know-how to prospect for your own clients (market your business)?

Do you have the desire to take the lead and determine your own career path?

If you can answer "Yes" to all these questions ... then maybe setting up your own agency is the answer.

If you are lacking in any of these areas, then consider that you can't go it alone and try to partner with an existing agency.

Sometimes it's smart to learn an industry or marketplace by being an "apprentice" at an already established business. You can always break away later and strike out on your own when you are comfortable that you have the knowledge, skill, and experience to handle everything needed in your own business.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

If you want to partner with agencies, I wouldn't start with the giants as they likely already have people on staff to handle what you do. At best, you might pick up some occasional overflow work.

You might have better luck partnering with one or more small-to-medium size agencies that offer complementary services to yours. For example, web designers, copywriters, smaller ad agencies, and the like. In my opinion, these would offer the best chance at ongoing or repeat projects.

In the meantime, continue to work direct. Give your word of mouth publicity a boost by actively asking for referrals and building your professional network on sites like LinkedIn.

Ummm...not to be flippant, but if you help businesses build brands, credibility and attention on social - isn't that what you should be doing?

Maybe I'm missing the challenge you are having?
