10 Things - If I Knew Then What I Know Now

I. Learn simple things yourself. This will save you a ton of money and time waiting for people - Wordpress, Canva, Youzign, banner ads.

2. Don't be afraid to pay when it's important. Sometimes you do need a professional touch - Fiverr, Warriors for Hire, etc.

3. Don't rule something out if it isn't 100% what you want. Can you modify the strategy? Can you take it offline? If you have a short booklet that has done well online, consider printing it and selling it on eBay or even flea markets.

4. There are good and bad people in the world. Don't take bad interactions personal - move on.

5. No matter how confident you are, start small and then scale up.

6. Sell/ promote products you can stand behind. You'll be more passionate and it will come through in your promotions.

7. Don't give up too soon. You're going to make mistakes. That's okay. Pick yourself up quickly, dust yourself off, and get back out there. Learn from those mistakes and from others.

8. Master one thing, then the next one. If you're doing too much all at once, it will be harder to succeed. Figure out what works for you and then add more products.

9. Mindset is important. Don't just shoot your shot, believe and see it through. It's possible.

10. It will be worth it in the end. The first sale, the accomplishment, the peace of mind, the freedom, the excitement.

What I personally wish I knew is that things would take time,, a lot of time... years and years.. then I would have been mentally prepared for what's to come

Great advice you shared! Number 6 especially resonated with me. When I first started I just wanted to sell anything, I didn't really care what it was. Big mistake. When I switched it to selling what I'm passionate about, it was a game changer

  • I agree with #1. I hate waiting on people to do things for me. I'd rather do it myself especially if it's a simple task. I'm not that lazy, but at the same time, I'm not overly active or industrious either.

    Thanks, cool list.

I like your MODIFY the strategy. If done with forethought, as part of your overall plan of action, it creates LEVERAGE, and one product can be modified for many different markets.

One of the best things to learn is, one may not be able to EXACTLY follow a plan, blueprint or formula, but if they modify it to suit their personalities and skills, almost any sort of plan will do.

Agree with Number 10 for sure its tough and you seriously have to push yourself and everyone has different areas that they need to push themselves in but if you don't follow it through all of it was for nothing.

You either succeed in this life or you don't might as well give it your 100% you literally only get one shot and a limited amount of time.

I will In the end even if you fail to the point you have to stop it wasn't totally for nothing as you still walk away smarter.

A life of freedom is worth the hardship it'll involve to get there.

Yep, thats the hard part for beginners. I was the same.. Tried too many things all at once and then as someone who is just starting the journey you simply will get overwhelmed and frustrated at some point
