Affiliate Warning: You're Losing Sales Doing This..

I've been seeing this lately and it's sad, because money is being
tossed down the drain in PPC costs and time wasted with other
marketing methods.

Stop cloaking your links that produce frames so that the cloaked
URL shows up in the browser instead of the vendor's URL.

This is preventing you from getting credit for sales!

I've seen this at least twice this past week. I went through to
the vendors Clickbank order form after seeing an affiliate ad
and saw "None" as the referring affiliate!

If you're doing this, check your links. Better yet, have a friend
check them because you may already have your cookie on your
computer which will falsely make you think it's working.

You should be Cloaking your links, but you should be doing it
properly. Here are 5 ways to do this along with code to create
a proper redirect on your own domain..

How To Cloak And Mask Affiliate Links

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip Dave. I'll check my cloaked links out, and see if I'm having the same problem.

Hi Dave, I looked at something you posted in an old thread (9 ways to 1,000 a month) and it interested me. I looked over the 9 ways and I would like to ask you something about one of them, but I don't have enough posts to PM you. Can you give me your email address so I can email you a question?

    Thanks from,

    Dave

  • If you don't check your links then you deserve not to be paid. And it's very simple to clear cookies and check yourself.

You should be cloaking your links, you just need to do it correctly.

    Hi Mate,

    Great advice there...

If you want an easier way to cloak your
link with a php redirect and to also upload
the file to your website at the same time
you can use this free service I created.

    Click-2-Cloak

That should make life easier for you.

    Take Care,

Copy and paste the code into notepad. Replace the URL with your affiliate link, double checking is correct and starting with http://, and making sure not to delete the quotation mark immediately after the link. Then save to your desktop (or wherever) as a .php extension and (example: report.php). Then upload the file to your domain in public_html.

Then your new affiliate link will be yourdomain.com/report.php

      Hope that helps

You can also do it by making a sub folder in your domain and simply naming your .php file index.php. So it would be mysite.com/folder which would redirect to the affiliate offer. Some people even do something like make a folder called suggests and then putting subfolders in there so it would read mysite.com/suggests/affiliate product

edit: I just read your report which says the same exact thing lol
