A question for article marketers

Hello folks,

I am a beginner in the article marketing bizz. My goal is to be able to make my living from home. I am curious as to how much of your time you successful article writers spend researching and writing articles, and how much of it on the marketing aspect.

Well to answer your question, I would have to say I would focus my time on writing the articles that will actually get me traffic. So, the answer is kinda both at the same time. I would research the market, to find how what time of articles to write. Then get busy on writing the articles. Hope that helps.

Well the first thing is making sure you have a good niche.
    Research competitors.
Note down what people like or dislike about products that are already on the market
Find profitable keywords, find keywords that will bring you good traffic.
See who ranks for the keywords in search engines
If it's an article read it, take some notes
Write your own original article hopefully better than the one ranking high in the search engines

Time taken is about 2-3 hours per day.

Find a system that simplifies this for you and all you have to do is make it work in less than the time mentioned above

It truly depends on the nature of the niche. In IM, experience is also required and the total time for research is 2-3 days. I take this much time.

Before I would want to answer your question, I'd want to know your definition of those two portions of your business.

Technically quality articles are part of your marketing method. You are creating articles to drive motivated traffic to a sales or opt-in page.

Before I answer any further, let us know how you picture those two portions of your business, then you can have more effective answers.

There is also an excellent article marketing thread here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...linone+article

Zeus66 recently created a post on writing effective articles which was fabulous.

Jeremy Kelsall recently wrote a reply to someone asking for the best article marketing course. His answer is a course in a single answer.

But... I'd still love to hear your reply to my question.

Apparently Keyword Research is the most important part of article marketing. Don't feel disappointed if you need many hours to get your research done because it is well worth it.
