How did this website promote itself in so many places in a short period of time?

I'm not the owner of this website, I was merely just curious. This website: infoseminarsclub [dot] com

was a 6 day special event.

When you check on google: infoseminarsclub.com - Google Search

they have over 2,600 mentions.

I'm thinking it's some sort of PR blast.. but I see it on blogs as well.

My question, what do you think the webmaster did to gain that much reach?

254 - if you go to the end of the search results you'll find (as usual) that the remaining 2146 are entries that are "very similar" and therefore not displayed. In other words, they are mostly subpages.

I know it shouldn't (and PLEASE don't take this personally) but it's starting to annoy me when people on here (NOT you) triumphantly say they are page 1 for a keyword that has xxxxx competing sites - except that when you really look, it's usually just xxx sites and the rest are sub pages.

Back on topic - It looks to me as if they ran an affiliate program and 254 affiliates mentioned in on their blog/site.

So if my keyword has 14 million pages, but at the end of the search results it says there are only 540 pages listed that means I am only competing with those 500 or pages right?
