Do Facebook page links count towards PageRank/SEO?

We all know Facebook is one of the highest traffic web pages on the entire 'Net with a solid PageRank of 10, however I was wondering if any links posted on your user page/wall to a site would count towards its' PR at all? Pretty sure the Facebook links are all NoFollow but can anyone confirm this

Thanks in advance

I'm not 100% sure but I think facebook screws you on a backlink because they make a customer referral URL to count an outbound link click..I don't think it counts towards Pagerank/SEO tbh.

Facebook automatically applies the "nofollow" attribute to any outbound links.

It's easy to check in Firefox... you just highlight the link you are interested in checking with your mouse, right-click and then choose "view selection source."

This will open the source code of the page AND highlight the exact bit of code you had selected with your mouse. When you see the attribute that says, rel="nofollow" you know they have applied the "nofollow" attribute to the link.

Links from Facebook to your site will definitely help.

It won't work in Google, but not all the serps take note of the "no follow" rule.

I've also read somewhere (not sure where though - sorry) that despite the "no follow" tags, there is still some PR leakage, so perhaps some small benefit.

Definitely won't hurt to try it out.
