Which Design Do You Like Better?

Hi Warriors,

I am trying to decide on two different designs...

I created them both so it is hard to tell which one is best

My wife and kids favored Design #1

Design #1
Here is Design #1

Design #2
Here is Design #2

Please let me know which one you liked the best..

Thanks for your time..

Best regards,
Dennis Cheesman

Dennis, I personally like the second one with the blue. The green is a little distracting and makes me lose focus on the copy.

Wow- - I had the opposite reaction! The green forced my eyes to the copy and interested me in reading it. Sort of like how a painter uses color to draw the eye to certain places - the great painters do this on purpose and can predict where the eye will fall first, second, third, fourth based on how they played with color, light, and composition. The blue was uninteresting and if I were browsing on the net, I would have clicked away from the second one without paying it a second thought.

Should probably split test this! It seems that we're divided. You can still achieve the same affect with the first one with a different color - something not as sharp and easier on the eyes. I think it was more the design than the color itself that drew me. In comparison, the second one seemed flat. The first one is more dynamic and forces the eye to the copy immediately, particularly the headline. I scrolled down the page halfway on the second one before I realized I didn't even process where the headline was.

    Hey Dennis:

Both are excellent, but my preference is #2 - it's a little softer on the eyes.

Your Headline copy is excellent - the page layout very professional.

Here's wishing you much success with this.

#1 by a mile. It's not even close. The arrow does it... if you want the blue one to close the gap, add a big RED arrow to the upper right of the blue design.

I totally agree - my first impression when I opened #1 is that it was harsh - which made me instantly feel like it was hypey. #2 is softer as others have mentioned but does need some good solid graphics.

I wonder if the blue on the side bar was much lighter color, almost grey/blue - would be interesting to see....

Anyway, all in all, lookin good and great content!

I vote for the blue one, because it seems easier on the eyes, the graphic doen't look cheesy (why is there a picture of an equalizer readout on the green page?), and the blue background makes the text area stand out more. In other words, my eye tracks better when reading the text on the blue version.

I think the green one is more glaring, and less focused at the same time. Also, the green bar is too wide, IMHO.

I like the design 1 also because it focus my attention in the headline but if the Guaranteed Results at the upper right side becomes a neon color on the design 2 then possibly I will read the whole sales letter.

If you want people to notice your bright graphics, then #1 gets my vote. If you want people to actually read your message, then #2 gets my vote.

I actually think #1 looks amateurish. The green bar in the background is too wide, there is not enough contrast to set the body of the text off from the background, the name of the site is too small, and the little starbursts look cheesy (to me).

My advice, add a blue arrow like you have on #1 to #2 and see how that looks.

Again, that's just my take on it.

one other thing I forgot to mention...

The title in #2 is hard to read - if you use Impact font - I suggest you capitalize the T and I only perhaps, OR, you separate the two words a wee bit.

      Hey Dennis,
I am going with #2 becuase I personally like the background to be a different color than the sales page. I liked the header in # 1 though it WAS a little distracting but not too bad, however the all white background was too bright. The blue is softer on the eyes when reading.

      a light silver grey.

It's like comparing stomernets colors with ppc classrooms colors.

My own personal preference, the green is more attention grabbing, but at the same time, the blue is much easier on the eyes and usually converts well.

Although I usually like blue more than green, I like your green design #1 better.

It jumps out and looks very sharp; it's eye-catching and says "Hey, this is important stuff - read it!"

The blue one looks like so many other sites that all it says to me is "Blah."
