Impending duplicate content problem
Before anyone jumps at me and says that there is no duplicate content issue in Google - I know. However, I also understand that Google does not like duplicate content within a site.
I have created a website that monitors the email list output from IM "gurus". The aim is to measure statistically how much output each of the gurus sends, how much is genuinely useful, how much is just affiliate swipe and so on. This might not be a sensible idea, I'm not sure yet but over the last few years I've got on some really good ones and some not so good and I'm interested. It might provide useful measures of list value - we'll see.
My current process to do this includes publishing the emails I receive (with their affiliate links intact) in order to calculate email frequency and measure how much is education, affiliate stuff etc.
However, this is going to create a problem - I've had 4 swipe emails today with the heading "Google is BROKEN! [Free Report]. When I update these to the site, I've just created 4 pieces of near duplicate content.
Any suggestions as to how I can avoid this before it becomes an issue?
Thanks
Rob
