Guess who's the latest official EzineArticles case study!

EzineArticles selected me to highlight what's wrong with article spinning and repeating the same content in different form when you're trying to develop an expert reputation.

Their whole series of case studies is valuable, but start with their latest one:

Would love to see your comments either here or on their site (or both).

    As always Marcia,

Your article is, OF COURSE, well written and easy to read. The point about REPURPOSING your writing is important, critical and useful in my opinion.

Spinning is, like you say, 'gaming' the system, which is self-defeating in the long run.

But rePURPOSING articles for different Target Markets, well, that's just superb marketing.

Spinning is a Lazy Writer's way to go about it. And for what?

A few more eyeballs on their sales page?

You have always provided us with practical and useful advice in a calming voice and this is just a continuation of that service you've given us for, what?, decades now?

You've always been a worthy case study. Keep it up.

I can't wait for the responses from those 'outsource article writers', to defend what they do for those IM'ers who just can't write...based on the comment in your article that says:

"...Don't outsource your writing because the personality of the content will suffer...!"
, which, by the way, is just one person's opinion.

If outsourcing wasn't a logical way of freeing up someone's 'time', then it wouldn't be so highly recommended by the majority of IM'ers!

          Ray,

It really depends what you are trying to achieve.

If you are trying to build up a reputation as an expert, then writing a blog/articles/emails are some of the last things you want to outsource, for the reasons I mentioned. Outsource operational and financial stuff first.

However, if you are simply trying to drive sales you might as well outsource anything and everything you can.

Thanks for reminding us about this nice distinction. Way too often in the discussions concerning outsourcing vs. writing the parties have different goals in mind and the dialog becomes impossible because they never clarify this detail
