Hello fellow Warriors,

I created a new site: Forex Trader News dot com and I am looking for opinions, suggestions, thoughts and ideas.

The opt-in feeds into daily training on what forex is, does and how it works.

Please do share your thoughts...

    Honestly it's not that bad, but it can be vastly improved.

    1. The layout/colors are kind of dull. Nothing jumps out at me. Just blah.

    2. Your opt in box doesn't really fit well at all. The text is off center, the blue doesn't fit well. You should place a lot more emphasis on it. You could possibly have a picture of the book above it, or some type of heading.

    3. The video that you have on the right side looks more like an ad. Maybe you could centralize that in your page.

    4. The page is pretty long and has a good amount of empty space. And you don't need most of the things that I have to scroll down for. You already have all the categories up top. The recent posts already have excerpts on the front page, so that isn't really necessary.

    5. You should make your menu more noticeable. But you can probably just fix this by getting a better color scheme.

      You have created a nice, simple and complete website. I think that you have not left much space for improving! It is already very well design website. Just want to attract your attention to color scheme - black, blue, green... Do something about it. Take advice of expert. This is not the big problem.

    It looks decent, looks like you've taken one of the common wordpress themes (forget which one for that) -- & then plugged in the aweber form, some standard ads, etc.

    Are the articles your own, or are you taking those from other sites? Plus the videos, etc -- whose content is that?

    Overall -- while it is 'kind' of nice -- it doesn't seem to have any real focus, and if I was a forex trader -- I'm not sure how useful it would be to me. It looks like basically it says "Here is a bunch of "stuff". Figure out what to do with it, then buy my stuff by clicking on the ads and buying it"...

      You NEED a headline.

      A compelling reason for staying and taking a look around the site.

      How long do your visitors stay here?

      What is your bounce rate?

      Doesn't matter what anybody here thinks of the site....how much appeal is there for visitors?

      If you are selling an 'opt in' then start 'selling' it.

      What is your mda (most desired action) from a visitor. If it is to opt-in then stick up a great headline and sell the opt-in

    It has no theme or direction at all. When a visitor lands on the site they don't know what to do because you haven't told them. The domain name might give a hint but that isn't nearly enough. You need to get a headline up there that grabs their attention and lets the visitor know what you're all about and why it will benefit them.

    Obviously news is a big part of Forex trading. Let your visitors know that and then show them why they need to keep coming back, why they absolutely, positively must bookmark your site, why it needs to be part of their trading toolbox.

    You might write up a little story about how you made the best trade of your life based on a hot piece of news you received just at the right moment. And if you don't have such a story, write about someone who does. That kind of stuff makes your site compelling and makes your visitor want to find out more.

    As it stands now, you've got a clean, decent layout but if you want to actually make money with this site you're going to have to do a much better job of explaining what it's all about.

    One other thing. Create a signature file for your Warrior Forum profile and put your link in it. Good luck!
