Why does this email keep going to the spam box?

Okay, I'm getting ready to release a 7 day PLR course and I finished the messages today and was testing them. All of them have an Aweber spam score of '0' but for some reason lesson 6 keeps hitting the spam folder.

I have changed this message several times with no luck.

Here is a copy of the message. Please advise me of some changes to make to keep this out of the spam folder.

----Subject: Lesson Six - PLR Riches

Hey {!firstname_fix},

How are you? We're winding down to the end of this short
course. But we still need to go over a few things.

Today we are going to jump right into how private label
e-books and software can benefit your business.

Let's start with PLR e-books

Generally PLR e-books that are being sold are specially
commissioned and written by ghostwriters. These e-books are
usually geared to a specific market. This is great for you
because you can easily find professionally written ebooks
that will fit into the theme and budget of your business.

There are a lot of things that you can do to maximize a private
label e-book, so that you can get the most for your money.
I know we covered a good bit about editing PLR content in the
last issue So we won't delve to deep into the editing part of
e-books today but there are a few more things that I would
like to go over with you before we come to the last lesson
in this course.

First off I want to make sure that you know with a little
bit of editing and ingenuity you can quickly end up offering
an e-book to your customers that they will not find elsewhere.

This is great for many reasons. One of them is that you will
not have to compete with over a hundred other resellers who
all have the same product. In other words you will have
"no competition". This alone is worth the cost of the content.
Seriously it's the fastest way to get to the head of the line.

As with the private label articles we spoke of last lesson
the contents of the book can be modified to suit your target
market.

Chapters can be rearranged. New sections can be added. Titles
can be modified. New pictures, e-covers and site graphics can
be used. This is the part where you can get really creative
and put your own unique spin on the content to make it stand
out from the crowd.

Just imagine after making some simple changes you will have
created an entirely new and unique version that you can offer
to your customers. One with your name on it, one that will
promote your products, your affiliate programs and make you
all of the profits.

The same holds true for private label software.

The core technology of the product can be created by
another person or company, but when you purchase the private
label rights you will have the ability to place your own
name and brand on the software.

With most PLR software you will be able to change the layout,
color schemes, logos among other options that to make the
software look like it was created by you. How great is that.
You can be a software designer and you never have to write
a line of code!

The only drawback with PLR software is that unless you are
technically inclined you may have to hire someone to make the
modifications for you. But don't let that stop you. Most of
the time you can hire someone from Elance.com or
Rent-a-coder.com do the job very inexpensively.

There is a great market for software and a savvy marketer can
profit greatly from PLR software just make sure you check out
the product thoroughly and you know what you are getting for
your investment.

I hope today's lesson was helpful to you.

Don't forget to check your mail tomorrow there will
be some great stuff in your last lesson.

Talk to you soon.

To Your Success,
Coby Wright

Perhaps the word Riches in the subject line is being flagged as a "spammy" term...

You should have to check some details of that word and find out about it. Perhaps you could take help of senior members over here.

yeah possibly, I thought this too. But why would it only do it on one of the 7 lessons? they all have the same title.

It could have nothing to do with your email. It could be one of the domains you have listed inside your email are on someones blacklist and that throws you in the spam bin.

PLR riches is I think considered a spammy phrase. Other than that, I don't see anything there that the spam filter can consider spammy.

Also consider the word 'spin'. It's not spammy in the context you used it, but a spam filter doesn't have a brain.

There are no links inside the email other than elance and rent-a-coder. The aweber spam score is 'zero'. Also, it is long b/c it is a 7 day e-course, supposed to be long. Its not a sales email. Also, it isnt PLR Riches b/c that is the title of the other lessons also and no problems.

Maybe how PLR is used often in the email could be a problem. I'll change that. Also i'll change the spin word too.

Thanks for the input, looking forward to more. I will let you know the results after the changes.

Have you contacted the email service provider (the one that you are using to receive the test email sequence) with the problem, to see if they can advise you of the reason for the lesson six issue?

      Regards,
      Jeff.

Coby, is it landing in just your spam folder, or other people's as well? If it's just you, it might be because you have tagged a lot of similar emails as junk in the past and your filter is biased...

Coby, I'm inclined to agree with John.

Not sure what e-mail service you are referring to, but if it is just yours, there are some phrases I see that you may have trained your service to flag.

May I suggest you set up a new g-mail acct. to test these messages, or if you have a website, use an e-mail associated with your site and try them there.

Or you might just possibly ask an acquaintance or associate to allow you to mail these to them and see what happens.

          Good luck either way.
