Guest Posts?

I've heard this term being knocked around a little bit, but i'm unsure to what it refers to?

I hear it's a good way to get high quality back links.

From what I assume it seems you find a blog in your niche and write an article for them with your link in it? Can't they just remove it if they wanted though?

    Hey Matt, yes basically writing a guest post is when you contact a blog owner and offer to write an article for them to put on their site. They get a unique article for their blog and you get a backlink to your site.

    I guess they could remove it, I don't think most of them would though.

    Thanks for clarifying this with me. It does seem like a good way to create high quality backlinks that will provide targeted traffic. I'll have to try it out sometime.

    I am looking into this as a traffic generating method as well. The key is to find high traffic, high quality blogs that are targeted to your niche. This appeals to me more than article marketing. So I am going to try guest blogging as part of my promotion efforts for 2011.

    I did some research on potential blogs in my niche and found one really good one so far. SO I plan to write some really good quality articles and submit them as guest blog posts as see what happens.

    I think if I can find 10 high quality high traffic blogs to do guestblogs for on a regular basis, this can be a good traffic generating technique.
