Advice Needed - Article Submission

Greetings Dear Warriors

I need some advice regarding article submission to ezine, hubpages, sqidoo and others. I've got active posting articles on my blogs. I wanted to know if I can submit my blog posts to ezine etc., or do I need to write new articles which haven't been posted on my blog?

Thanks

there is nothing wrong in posting the same article but it is not at all advisable for seo as your article looses its worth by multiple submissions....

This, unfortunately, is wrong. There is nothing wrong with submitting your article to multiple websites/article directories.

Barket, go ahead and submit your existing articles to whichever directories. This will help you get traffic and more exposure. In fact, any articles that you might submit to an article directory should first be placed on your website

I have to say I thought the articles lose their value if you submit them to ezine or don't get accepted at all. Thanks for the info!

You can submit them to Ezine Articles (as long as they comply with EZA's editorial guidelines, obviously). All my EZA articles - and that's over 1,000 now - were originally published and indexed in identical form on my own sites, and that's exactly how you should do it. This thread explains why in great detail.

"Etc" is a different matter altogether!

Squidoo and HubPages are not article directories, and different criteria apply there.

It'll really help you a lot to appreciate the difference between article directories and those other "Web 2.0 sites" like Squidoo, and so on. Again, this is explained in the thread I've linked to above.

But the single most important thing to know, in this context: never post/submit anything to anyone else's site without reading their guidelines/terms of service first. Everything becomes easy, if you do that.

Keep the same author name throughout your submissions, so you can prove ownership if need be. Using a pen name is fine. Automating the submissions is fine, too.

In my own candid opinion, I will advice that you should write another unique articles for submission to ezine directories.

A set of search keywords related to your site. Separate the keywords with commas, then write down the same set of keywords this time separated by spaces. Some directories require the first format, others the second one.

Now what does this have to do with the op asking if they can post their articles from their blog/site to a directory like eza.

To the ops question which has already been answered several times now. Yes you can submit to eza after your own site. Also as some one else stated make sure that you submit to eza first or use the same name as you did with any other submissions you may have made. But to play it safe post to your site then post to eza and wait for the eza to get approved and you can then submit it to the other directories who do not have as strict of guide lines as eza.

Pete, you can just as easily do it the other way round, I promise.

There's absolutely nothing "safer" about submitting to EZA before other directories.

        Nor is there any benefit
in doing that, because EZA has never required "original"/"unique" content anyway.

You can have your work in 100 other directories already (under the same name) and EZA will still accept and publish it.

The fact that some other directories have less strict guidelines than EZA, although perfectly true, isn't relevant at all to this matter. Either your article is compliant with EZA's guidelines, or it isn't. If it is, they'll publish it. If it isn't, they'll decline it. It's as simple as that.

Whether it has previously been submitted to other directories just has nothing to do with it at all.

Ezine Articles has a WP plug-in that allows you to submit your blog posts as EZ articles. You may need to re-format or make some minor adjustments to meet EZA TOS. I have used the EZA plug-in with good success.

Thank you all for your great advice – you have truly helped me! Before I joined Warrior Forum, I wasn't even aware of article submission as an option for website promotion.

@ Alexa Smith, Thanks for the link to this other thread – the advice given there has been invaluable to myself personally.

This contest sounds like a great opportunity for website promotion and SEO.
