Making Money From A Simple Content Site/Page

G'day Warriors

Does anyone here operate any websites, that offer very little benefit to the user, but are basically built on a strong keyword domain name, and have keyword rich content on the site, to assist the site ranking at number one in google.

The reason I ask, is because I have found a content rich domain name, which has about 30,000+ global monthly searches, and I believe I could get it to number one in Google, however I don't really have a concept for the site, other then optimising it for that particularly key word and putting an article on the home page with keyword rich content, and adding adsense to it in order to make revenue.

Anyway, I would be interested to here from anyone who has a similar site, and curious as to how much money they make per month and what sort of challenges they face.

Cheers

Jake

You can't sell an affiliate product or make a product for people in that niche?

In my case, quality users or visitors matter most. It would be better if they follow your site/blog because of the content and not just because they were mistakenly directed to it. Having a good topic or product to advertise in your site/blog should be the first step. I have seen numerous successful sites and all of them have one thing in common, which is the great benefit they offer to the users.

You should make the site beneficial to visitors, so they either return over and over again, or they're so enticed that they buy whatever you're promoting.

Adsense would make sense, but also have banners that leads to an affiliate product, either a digital or physical product.

you can search for affiliate products for that particular keyword & can add other monetizing options such as amazon or ebay products or if you plan to expand the site you can expand it by adding content to the related keywords of the main seed keyword hope this helps

    Thanks Guys

Unfortunately there arent really any affiliate products, and I haven't got time to run a useful blog. With a keyword rich domain, what I was hoping to do was to set up a SEO freindly website with a heap of content and google ads on it.

I would then use Adwords to promote the site, but hopefully at a rate cheaper then the clicks I am making from the site.
