    Absolutely.

You have an inside track into their (hockey fans) needs, wants, desires and problems. Identify these, identify monetization models for them and the sell to them.

You also should know where they hang out. You are way ahead of those entering the market just to 'sell'.

Sports fans are always buying stuff related to their favorite teams and
there's a lot of marketers making money in sports niches.

    Sports is a huge market.

What you need is the right program to show you how to make what you are interested in profitable.

I know of such a program but cannot post it here.

Just message me if you want the link.

Yes of course. In fact, it is better that you love your niche first then make money out of it rather than the other way around.

The other posters are right, it has a very wide market and all you need is a good program. But then, it also requires some experiments and failures may come along the way. Not all marketing techniques are applicable to everyone, as what works for A may not work for B.

Lastly, you have to patient enough and focus on your goal as there will be a lot of distractions ahead.

    Good luck!

I am planning on doing a lot with fantasy football. I'm not sure of all the ways that it could be monetized but there are quite a few.

btw....if anyone wants to talk about getting something ready for next year's season, let me know.

If you are good at picking hockey winners...you could offer your picks online for a monthly fee...

Run a keyword search for your niche and see how many searches are coming up. Then, run the keyword in Google and see what people are selling. You probably will get lots of ideas for what to offer, where to find the products to sell, and how other marketers are promoting those offers.

Start with "hockey" and then drill down through the keyword results that you get, ie: hockey equipment, hockey memorabilia, hockey collectibles, hockey cards, hockey shirts, hockey teams, etc.

You can make a small fortune on cards and collectibles alone.

Hop on Google and look for "hockey forums". See what they are talking about and work that into a niche to market. You can sell to almost any niche market if you will take the time to look for the marketing groups and what they want to buy.

      Hi PookDo,

Starting a website, blog or forum in a niche that you love is always a good habit because that will help you easily write lots of good content without getting bored, It will also motivate you to continue your work without getting depressed if you don't make money in the beginning.

      Cheers, amr

If you know how to play the game, "how to play hockey" as a base keyword
gets a good number of monthly searches and has very little competition.

You could create a "how to" book, put up a forum, and then, through the
back door, sell hockey related equipment. Don't try to take that on headlong
because the niche is really competitive, but the "how to play hockey" niche
        is not.

This is just one thing you could do with it.

    Hi PookDo,

    1. Adding to Steve's suggestions, what you can do is to go
ezinearticles.com and search for a series of articles for hockey

    example:
how to play hockey ezinearticles - Google Search

    2. use them as raw keywords and find more keywords from
    Google keyword tool

    3. then get a list of 50 to 100 keywords.

    4. Start a blog and include the keywords in your title and post
    content.

This should help you to kickstart your IM journey!

    Hope it helps.
    Cheers,
    Joh
