No it's a bad idea, Google hates duplicate content and you also have the issue with copyright.

If you can't write well then I would suggest outsourcing.

      Do not copy from websites.

There are several reasons for this:

      1. You don't necessarily know if the copy you are copying is pulling. We do split tests all the time.
      2. It's illegal and you can get sued (for real).
      3. There is a better way...
I could make a million pitches right now, but I won't. Instead, I'll give you two tips...

One, it "IS" okay to make a swipe file...

Two, join the war room and you will be glad you did.

      Sincerely,
      Michael Van De Carr

Quite a good way to judge questions like this is to ask yourself if you'd think it was ok if someone did it to you. So, there's the question for you: if you'd put up a website and produced all the copy yourself (by writing it, or buying it) and someone else just took it all and put it on their new website, how would you feel about that?

Most webmasters, when they notice that you've copied their content, will serve something called a "DMCA notice" on your host and registrar and sometimes send a copy to Google. You can lose your site (it gets taken down), sometimes the domain-name too, and sometimes it'll get de-listed from Google. And that's when you get lucky and don't get sued as well, for stealing people's content.

So, no ... it's very much not ok. But good that you asked rather than just trying it!

You can find article writers at fiverr.com for $5 to start filling your website with content. Don't copy the content from other websites.

    Ok, thanks.

How much content will cost? 20 articles?

    And what about rewrite?

I've seen people post ads that they will write 2-3 articles for $5.

Try to get samples of their work first

    hi guys.

    So how does it feel?

I've just copied and pasted from your post--Just trying to make a point.

If you copy and paste and put crap on your site it will result in poor page rank and probably a slapping from Google.

Things have changed, and unique content will always rule.

Copying certainly won't get you far with your site as copied stuff from other sites is looked down upon by the search engine crawlers.

You can use articles from directories like ezinearticles, goarticles, etc., if you include all links and give proper credit to the original author. Still, it is best to write and post original material.

The price for a 500 word article will vary based on quality. You can get something that MAY be readable for $5. For $10-15 you can get a high quality article.

You can also use PLR articles, articles that are sold to multiple people. This can be a great way to get cheap content. I recently wrote a free report about how to use PLR to make money. I am still building the site where I will be giving it away, but feel free to PM me if you would like an early free copy.

    Look at it his way.
Would you like someone to come along and simply take your articles, posts or ebook material, and use it as their own?

    This is a no-no.
You can get good articles from Article Directories, such as Ezine Artilces. You may publish them IN FULL UNCHANGED, on your site/blog, but you must leave all the author's references and backlinks etc., intact.

In the beginning, this can be a very good way to build up your number of posts, and establish a presence, but it still won't cut any ice with the search engines until they start finding original articles/text/content on your site.

Hope this answers your question OK

    Cheers

    Alan

      Ofcourse not.
Google is now getting more and more strict with contents.

If you can't write your own content, ask someone to do it for you. You just need to pay a few bucks and thats it. You'll have original well written content for your website. Never copy.

Try to find writers in freelancers.com, odesk or fiverr.

Copied content is always a bad idea, you can do it anyway but you need to spin it and reconstruct the article in your own way and idea.

Mix your own, unique content as the backbone of your site and you can add content from article directories to provide a 'news' aspect to your site which will add to rather than distract from the authority of your content.

Don't steal this content. Use content which is up for syndication (authors want you to post it on your site) and always provide a link back to the original source.

the fact that we admit that it's hard to come up with an article of our own and the only solution that is left for others was to copy which is not a good idea. We should really focus and exert effort in creating the content.

Interesting thread... started by a Hyperactive Warrior with over 200 posts who dropped a question that would put a newbie to shame. I'm just wondering what the intention was behind asking this question. Though viewed from this perspective, this thread is fun!

I just took a peek and the OP's hyperactivity stems from his desire to learn. So I believe the question was asked without an ulterior motive.

Thanks a lot. Now I understand that it is a bad idea. That's good that I asked you before copying. And what are the PLR articles? I have to pay for them also? Where can I get them? Is there anyway to get articles for free?

P.s. If I am having 120k of PLR articles, what to do with them? Shall I just copy them to my website?

I build most of my sites up with a mixture of content. I write some of my own, outsource - usually check out the offers on this forum, get them from article directories. If I use PLR I rewrite or edit the articles.
