Help me avoid duplicate content

Warrior,

After a recent purchase of a back linking WSO a affiliate network has suspended my account.

In order to reopen my account I need to removing a single page (lets call this Apple).

This is because the "bad" backlinks (which my network don't like) point to the same page so by deleting it the links will be pointing to a non existing page.

If I create a new page (lets call this Orange) with identical content from the orginal page (Apple) before I delete (Apple) will there be an issue with Google such as them putting a duplicate mark on my page causing it to be unable to rank?

Or will Google initally see the new page (Orange) as duplicate content until I delete the orginal page then it will rank Orange with no problems?

Please confirm with your experience.

If anyone could give me tips with the best practice to ensure my new page is ranked pelase let me know.

Notes:
The existing pages content does not exist outside my website
I can't or get the backlinks deleted or stopped
All the links created were for the same page (Apple)

Once you've replaced the page you can delete the old page from Google's index using their webmaster tools - I've done this before and it seemed to work OK.
