I'm going to use my dating product as my base, hopefully get some good affiliates and JV's and then build up that business and build the brand (the attraction system)

Agree ... you just made yourself a target to every scam coming down the pike. Save your money until you've made a business plan and then purchase what you need to launch that business.

In my opinion you should have a "sampler" of your program lets say 10 pages on how to get started in online dating. You toss that on a squeeze page and attract potential buyers to that page. Obviously throw an autoresponder there so they sign up and you will be able to advertize your future products to them.

Having a paid product is great, but you are losing potential customers which are hesitating on buying and will never find your product again. By setting up a free sample you will be able to contact them in the future where they would be possibly more interested in the same product they had hesitated buying in the first place.

Forget 20K or even 200K ... try to do as much as you can assuming you had nothing... only and only and ONLY (can't stress more) use that money if you are dead tired and can't pull out another minute of your time and really do have to spend it to get the job done..

Remember that most of the SEO and marketing stuff is simple and just needs common sense... it's no rocket science... but yes if you are looking for great images or flash work ... or perhaps coding/programming that you might not know... you'll have to pay for that...

so in essence... spend money on things that you really can't do yourself (and don't say that you can't blog or write! .... that's the simplest thing ... so don't waste your money on that... )

Use that money to buy some good books ... or take a breather and read more material about how marketing and sales is done... it may take 6 months.. but 6 months down the line you will be more prepared and will still have that 20K that you'll be able to use more judiciously...

Save the money and buy a 5k car. Beleive me saving money is always the best option.

and then go and join, www.adbrite.com go and get a banner made and do some media buys (banner advertising) and direct link the banner to the cpa offer and make some good cash.

In the future you could become a real media buy player and buy an ad on msn.com for $25,000 and make some real cash!

Slowly build a business, or find a good way to make money online building niche sites or money making sites and then invest the money where it is needed (link building, content creation, coding, etc)

Either that or put some of it in stocks, right now the market took a hit, might be a good time to put a few grand in a nice high dividend paying ETF or mutual fund.

I have heard that OtimizePress is a great word press theme to do just that. I have looked at it and it looks good, but they have different pricec points depending on what you are lookin to accomplish, I believe including a developer license if you are looking at flipping. Hope that helps!

With no experience in IM, you are likely to have little to no traffic to your site, then you will get frustrated and spend money to drive traffic. Paid traffic for the purpose of driving traffic will result in no sales. If you "build websites for fun", I hope you enjoy doing just that. You say that "you are talking to the big dogs" with 20K? The big dogs make that and more each month, and a few make that each day. Your statements start with the words "I Want". I would suggest that you ammend that to " I will work my *** off to get what I want".

I'd say act as if you have like $20...be conservative...take a little chances and try facebook PPC...won't take that long to get it going

Hmm' I would step back from the situation. Maybe take the family out on a vacation

and really relax and let go of the work. Clear your head and allow for newer ideas to

flow. I meditate every morning and find that the best ideas come to me in the early

morning or right before I doze off to bed. Focus on what would trully make your

customers happy and what you really enjoy. Solve their problems and in a

perfect world you'll have all the success you dream of. I think instead of following

others you should focus on what you do well. If you want to spend money in IM

then learn everything about internet marketing that you can before you spend any

of your hard earned cash. Do your research and spend as if you were broke. A

fool and his gold are soon parted. Don't let anyone make a fool of you by selling

you the next pipe dream. The real money is in unique ideas not in following the pack.

If someone isnt willing to help you atleast some of the way for free then dont shell

out money without a guarantee.

I can give you some suggestions:

1. Use 20k to buy solo ads to build your list.
2. Do ads swap to build bigger list after you have your seed list.
3. Create more offers. Rinse and repeat.

This would take time. But money will come. This is what I am doing right now.

Here's the thing: You DON'T need $20,000 to fund your business.

For the most part, people start on this forum with out a dollar to their name. You
obviously have an advantage and should have no problem funding a project of yours
AFTER you came up with a business plan. Don't head into anything blindly.

Pay for a writer or two. Get yourself a well designed network of sites up with Wordpress and link them together. Then, pay writers to put up 3 to 5 posts a day around high and low competition keywords. Make sure they are using proper SEO and writing between 700 and 1200 words per post.

Then, promote your product on the site, build a mailing list, and make money. Sure you also need to do a large amount of backlinking and you can hire someone to do this as well, but you have to have the posts and pages up first before you start backlinking.

You can go to the classified section, have someone build you a site with everything you need. And then get a google page one service. Youll still have at least 19500 left over! Then you can buy a 100 more sites and do the same thing. But its up to you.

I would suggest to study the market. If you going into creating a website, make sure to keep most of the money for advertising, YES SEO & ADVERTISING WILL COST YOU A LOT but would pay off.

I would say don't hurry jump into a job until u know what you getting your self into

Put the money in the bank while you figure stuff out. I would say you need to promote your product. With $20k in the bank you could do some serious promotion, but you need to ensure its targeted.

Also, I do believe this was the first sales page I've ever come across with a purple font headline.

Save your money and try any money-making method to grow more on an increasing rate.

I have advice for you: use $100 to find the way to make money online and save the remain. Find the cheapest but good quality for promotion. It is not easy but it will be true if you find the right way. I see you have your product, you may promote it to get more people promote your products.

Plan first and then start investing slowly..
