Can't Send Email - Error 550

So... a client of mine, Portuguese hosting company phones me saying he can't send emails as of today.

He send me a Forward of the email error he gets, I went on to check what happened and BANG:

His IP (??) is blacklisted by Passive Spam Block List (???)

What?

So a moron in same server send SPAM and my client gets hit?

    Anyone else got this error? Cause this is a first time for me and I've been doing this since late '03.

    Any idea of what I can do ASAP to solve this? Perhaps change hosting?

    I went to the link you posted and all you have to do to remove your IP is enter it and click the submit button.

      I know. And I did just that.

      Problem is my client DIDN'T send any SPAM - it was some guy in the same server from what I can see.

      Is this normal? I never EVER had any issues with other hosting companies, and to be honest I use this exact Portuguese hosting company to host my PT sites (at least 3 different servers) and never had a problem.

      Just bad luck?
