Too many Smart people here

I posted a day or so ago for advice on my squeeze page. I recieved a lot of quality and generous feedback from quite a few warriors here.
That sort of help is what costs money. All given by good folks who wanted to help.
Having thanked everyone individually I must say that this forum is such a 'find'.

I have no reason to think he's anything but what he appears to be: A serious person, making a serious effort, which is hampered to some degree by his inability to communicate effectively in a second language.

I could be wrong, but he'd have to have put in a lot of effort over a span of nearly 300 posts to keep up the impression. That's rather... unlikely.

I beg to differ when you say "now mostly spam." There are spam messages but not mostly in my own opinion. I have been reading the threads here in WF almost everyday and I have learned so many things.

I have joined the other forums out there too but so far, WF is the best. I am not trying to be bias, this is exactly how I see it.

You have done nothing to apologize for.

That said, you are going to have to improve your writing skills in English if you want more native English-speaking people to understand you.

One way to get a start on that is to read fiction that includes a lot of conversation. Another thing you can do that will help a lot is to take a basic course in English grammar. Sometimes the problem seems to be more how your sentences are arranged (the syntax) than the words you choose.

Those two steps, which are pretty easy, could make a big difference for you in dealing with us one-language types.

Video can help with spoken English. There's a reason I suggested reading, instead of watching videos. Seeing the way the sentences are built is more helpful in learning to write than any amount of listening will be.

Usually people here know how to do a great commercial advertising for their business but unfortunately even people with experience can not answer theme becasue they are taking that thread to the extreme of explanation.

For folks who don't quite get why some people have trouble making themselves understood in a second language, here's a simple example. I believe I have this set in proper German sentence structure:

"Ich habe es drei jahre studiert."

Translated word for word, in the same order, that becomes, in English:

"I have it 3 years studied."

Not a properly structured English sentence.

The syntax is the problem that makes so many people sound like they're speaking "broken" whatever-the-second-language-is. Switching the order of referents and modifiers and so on can create a lot of confusion. And that ignores the conceptual differences underlying the cultures that use various languages.

Don't even get me started on various forms of slang. "Dude is sick! That's some bad copy!"

Good? Or bad? Depends on the tone of voice and the intended audience. The exact same words can be high praise or a hard slam.

Written English is no picnic, even for people who are raised speaking it.

I really admire your ability and effort to distinguish between fakers and for real people who are not fluent in English. Makes me feel ashamed because I was getting ready to write Kom off as a really good robot or a very bad human spammer.

Kom, following Paul's lead I'll respond to your OP (first post in this thread) the same way I'd respond to someone who was using perfect English. (of course perfect English is not my strong point, however, I don't hold it against someone if they do use perfect English.)

If your opinion is that this forum is "mostly spam" I have to respectfully disagree with you. Try harder to find the good here and you will be amazed at the members helping members that actually goes on.

In reading your OP several times my impression is you are frustrated because you asked for something and didn't get a satisfactory answer or maybe your post was even ignored.

To save me and others from looking for what may have frustrated you would you please mention it here.

If I'm wrong about that, sorry.

I think you need to re-read the op, especially the parts I've put in bold for your convenience. Kom has apologised in advanced to anyone who helps around here, so your comment " hell with all the people who actually do help people on a daily basis" is actually out of order. Don't take it so personally.

I'm sure many members can relate to the feelings of the OP and the language barrier as Paul mentioned. So in fact this thread is actually quite useful.

In short, the thread isn't worthless, but your post definitely is. If you don't have anything constructive to add to the discussion, then don't post at all. It only make you look like your trying to get your sig some more exposure. (Although I'm sure that's not the case).

I don't think he's complaining about how he's not understood. I think he's pissed with all the people with crappy English spamming their signatures and trying to make a name for themselves through quantity, and not actually quality.

I don't really post much as you can see, but even I can tell how the forum's been "behaving" lately.

Kom - this is my first introduction to you. While it was nice for you to apologize, don't. Never apologize for who you are.

English has to be rough for you to learn to write. Just learning another alphabet is torture. Having to use it is a whole trip into cryptology. You have a ways to go, but from as far as you've gotten, I think you'll get it.

I'm not familiar with your native alphabet or spoken language, but I did teach English as a second language to many who were at a 3rd grade and higher level of English. From what I have seen in this thread, your spoken English is that solid already. If you need help understanding how to write something and why - you feel free to pm to me. Once people in here realize you are trying to better your English, you will find many more willing to help than you suspected.

And as far as your OP -- there are a lot of people who try to use this forum solely for their own purposes, but if you stay long enough you will see that those people don't stay too long. Most of the people who find the WF and stay are good people who enjoy the community as well as the business benefits.

If they are what you say as spam, then warrior people, carry on with the spamming. Because I'm learning lots of insights and information.

Wow. This is pretty insulting coming from Kom. Over the past 6 months alone I have personally witnessed Kom receive all kinds of amazing help, guidance, and insight from respected, valuable, and knowledgeable members on this forum.

Kom, you have posted all kinds of threads and questions and received absolutely wonderful help from a lot of people here for a very long time now.
