NEWCOMERS -Create a Landing Page in 10 Mins! --> No Website -->No Problem!

I had made a reply in another thread and after thinking about it...I thought
i would elaborate a bit.

A lot of people i speak with have a rough time when it comes to a landing page putting it all together. Yes you should have various things such as graphics, professional copy etc. BUT....that's what is holding you back.

Jump in and get your feet wet. As long as it airs on the side of professional, is crisp and clean a sales/ landing page can be simple.
So, I have laid out a quick outline for you. This is geared for the people who are not real familiar with websites, and or need a quick free method to capture leads or promote affiliate products.

Follow these steps and you will have yourself a Landing Page in 10 mins or less.

Things that I assuming you have done already....
  • Picked your Offer
  • Finished your Research
  • Have Sales Copy in Place
  • Have Affiliate Banners (if Using)
  • Have plan

Set up a Blogger Blog at
http://www.blogger.com

Pick the Name of Your Blog / Think About this one. Make it good and SEO Relevant.

Then Hop over to

Free Blogger Templates & Premium WordPress Themes | eBlog Templates

grab a free Template download. I recommend this one for a landing page

Dirtylicious Blogger Template | eBlog Templates

Remember, you can change things later, add graphics as you get them but if you are Promoting as a Affiliate or a CPA offer they should have plenty to choose from.

Go through all of the settings on the blog and make sure they are correct.
Adjust Colors to your Needs.

Change the Settings to Show Only One Post Per Page.
  • Make sure you delete all of the side bar links.
  • Make your first post
    • This is Your Landing Page
      • Text,
      • Optin,
      • Headers,
      • Pics,
      • Order Button etc.
IMPORTANT, Make sure the Title of the Post includes your keyword and is Descriptive. This will become a .html file and you want to make sure the url is SEO Friendly....This is the perfect place to Include one of your Long Tail Keywords. Try to keep Your Headline 5 words or less. IE http : // YourSite.com/LoseWeightNowl You can get more descriptive in your subheading
  • Publish Post.....start driving traffic.

For Optins, Simply grab the script from whatever email service / autoresponder you are using. They should have an area where you can
copy and paste it...if not just send them an email.

Copy it, go back over
to your Blogger post and Paste it where you want it. Make Sure you are
in the HTML View. There are two tabs at the immediate top right of the
"Blog Post Editor"

To take it a step further, You can start to create more pages / Landing Pages. These would be a post. Which would become a .html Page which
is partly what Google is looking for.

Each one of these pages could be another landing page or a landing page to another product, although you should try to keep everything relevent.
This begins building you a site that is deep and keeps your quality score in check.

A nice option is ...that you can Set Your First Post, Your Main Offer as static. In other words, you can make it so that is the first page your visitors see when they come to your site.

All of your other pages would only be seen if they arrive directly on them, or if you keep the blogroll on the main page.

You can promote your other pages as well. It would simply be your Site name /YOUR POST TITLE.

There you go.
  • Set up A Account
  • Grab a Free Blogger Template
  • Pick a Offer that is Rich with Affiliate Tools
  • Copy and Paste
  • Tweak
  • Drive Draffic

  • 10 Mins....No Money, No Website, No Problem

(Disclaimer, results may vary and if you have never used blogger extra time may be required )

Cheers
Sean

    Very interesting post, thank you!

Is it just me or is Blogger making a comeback? Seems like they have a lot of new features and the new templates add a lot as well.

Can anyone shed any light on the longetivity of Blogger blogs these days? I used to have a ton of them a few years back, until they started to delete them en-mass. I gave up after losing a few hundred blogs.

Might be worth a look again if they can hold up for a while.

    Thanks again

Hey Phil...I was thinking the same thing.

I think that it is partly because there are a lot of people who are still figuring this whole thing out and Blogger Provides a good Vehicle ...for two reasons. More and more people are turning to the internet for financial solutions during these tough times. There is a learning curve and Blogger is a good format to bridge the gap. I think that is partly to explain as well as....

      1. You can use Their Blogs to Promote, Whereas Word Press Free Blogs do not allow Commercial Use.

      2. Its easy to get going. No website experience needed this coupled with #1 is why I think it

This is a good hit-and-run scheme, but if you want to develop a substantial and long-lasting business, I have to plan better and invest some money in your own hosting and domain + custom design templates...

Brilliant idea on using your blog entry as a landing page. I'll have to agree with William though, but it's definitely a spark of inspiration to better and greater things. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for the information. I was confused about how to get started with a blog. I have a landing page already but wanted to expand into the blogging area. Great information.

That's funny, because I do something similar myself with WordPress, but I've been fiddling with Blogger more and more and I like what they've done with it.

So much so, that I'm working on a blogging method now that relies entirely on Blogger - and that's saying something coming from a long-time WordPress guy.

      Thanks for the post!

I tried using the one theme you suggested and during the install process, blogger came back with the following error message:

      ================================================== ========
We were unable to preview your template
Please correct the error below, and submit your template again.
Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The content of elements must consist of well-formed character data or markup.
      ================================================== ========

I saved the blog theme to my desktop, opened the zip file and used the option 'copy all', then I went into 'edit html' section of my blogger blog and used right-click to paste and then clicked on the save button....this is when the error occurred.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

      Thanks,

      Ray
