It is the holidays, so it is easy to get excited and over do it.

I know when I walk into a new party I really want a drink! But it is bad manners not to introduce yourself first and get to know a few people.

Jill!
I found a couple of your youtube videos explaining and giving tips for using Warrior Forum. I am new to this discussion forums (discussion forums in general) and I have some questions.
The first is:
1. In your video you talk about uploading videos. Is this a feature that only premium WF members can use? I was looking for the place to do so and I was not able to find it.

2. What are the options for someone who wants to genuinely suggest a solution or product for someone WITHOUT being labeled spam...is there such a way? I don't want people to get annoyed with me or think I am being annoying but sometimes I feel I have exactly what someone is looking for.

Any other basic tips would be greatly appreciated, and thanks again for the videos!

Marissa, suggesting solutions or products generally falls into one of two situations.

First, starting threads by suggesting a solution generally gets the thread nuked regardless of your good intentions. It would set a precedent that those with less pure motivation would exploit to the point that the forum would be unusable. If you have a product or service that you want to review, the Reviews section is where you want to put it.

Second, sometimes (actually, quite often) people pose a problem and ask for solutions. If your product or solution is actually a good match, you can link to it. Don't make the recommendation "salesy", and disclose any relationship you have with the product. It's even okay to provide an affiliate link, as long as it's identified as such and you provide the non-affiliate link as well.

As for other tips, read the rules, ask questions, participate. You're off to a good start here already...

Another note - if you are not old enough, you will not be served. There is a reason for this.

The privilege to drink the finer spirits is reserved for those who have earned it or who can afford it.

And older members, please don't be slipping shots to the noobs. You don't know them well enough and should really know better.

Any registered member should be able to upload videos to youtube and insert them into posts.

Be aware, videos will not embed in blogs. Also, just posting a video in a thread that you start without some written content is typically not successful. And just posting "here is a video I made today with a tip for you" is also tricky and may get moved or removed.

Don't get me wrong - they can be used. But this is for the most part a discussion area we are in here, and long videos or self promotional ones are spotted quickly and not well received.

There is a Reviews section in the forum for that. If you are genuinely giving a review without affiliate links you should be ok.
