Do you make enough online to pay the bills ??

I'm just curious, do you guys make enough online to pay the bills??
I got laid off a little while ago, and it seems like any kind of online work is a scam...

I'm willing to try just about anything, do you guys have any suggestions?? Just looking for some extra income

Oh yeah: here's what I REALLY would like to make each month:
Rent:$845
Elec/Gas/H20: $120
Cell Phone: $70
Internet: $30
Food: $100
Gasoline: $40
Dog Stuff: $30
Cable: $40
Car Payments: $490 (2 cars)
Car Insurance: $170 (both)

I'm at about $1100-$1500 a month right now, but it always seems like I never have anything left over... after fast food and everything!!! Does someone know a way to make an extra (let's say $400) a month??... I work in an office, and always have internet connection...

throw some ideas my way guys ... THANKS A LOT!!

It's ok. Personally, I do not see any harm in exposing ur affiliate links for others to see, provided highlight to the reader that it is an affiliate link.
I do not mind at all. I can choose to click or not, isn't it and it is not like email spam where it is unsolicited. This has a choice.

If I ask for your affiliate links here, will I get into trouble with the forum? Or can you send me by PM?

To be honest I found the OP a tad contradictory, in one sentence he says he's been laid off, in another he says he has an internet connection at his office

        Did I miss something

Just voicing my opinion, whether it matters or not, it does not bother me a bit. Though I am new in WF, I am not new to many types of forum rules. I can see that some forums are protective of their status and do not welcome links that point elsewhere. It is not as if this is the only forum I participate in.

Personally, I welcome affiliate links and is not paranoid about them. You have to join a program under someone anyway. If you don't like a program, then don't click on the affiliate link. Simple as that.

I would kill to have those bills!! Both car payments are only 490, your insurance is only $170 and you only spend $40.00 a month in gas? Where do you live cause I'm moving there!

If you have a computer conncection at work all the time, why not write some articles for people. At $5.00 a piece thats only 80 articles. Spread out over 30 days thats just a little over 2 and a half a day. Very eaisly done. You'd be suprised at how much money you would save as well ifyou cut out fast food! I used to be a fast food junkie until I realized I was spending about 50-60 a week on it. Buy some sandwich meat and some soda's and you'll save yourself a good $200.00 a month easy.

You could do book marking submissions for people, directory submissions, blog comments there is all kinds of stuff people will pay you to do. You can very easily make up that $400.00 and then some.

Wow, great body for someone who eats fast food. Perhaps you could sell an eBook on how to do get six pack abs whilst eating fast food.

      BTW,

Be careful about personally insulting other members here, you'll get banned in no time at all...plus, don't expect much help if you're gonna personally insult people, regardless of their comments.

    ooookaaayyyyy....

Besides the fact that you got laid off and that you work in an office....uhhh...

    ok

I DO NOT make enough money to pay my bills by working online. The online income only allows me to:

    drive a more expensive vehicle
Eat out when I want to
Buy the latest new gadget that comes out
    pay for 5 magazine subscriptions
go on vacation when I feel like it

and stuff like that. But it's definitely NOT enough to pay my bills.

Well, I'm telling you right now, the fitness industry is killer for easy sales. Especially niches like six pack abs. One of the best selling eBooks on Clickbank teaches people how to get six pack abs.

I can assure you, if you create a solid guide that works and get it in front of the right people (with some decent copy) you'll be able to hit more than $1000 per month...a lot more.

Yes I do. And yes, you can.

My question for you is... what are you doing currently to make $1100-$1500?

You've obviously found SOMETHING that works. And since you've found something that works, it is most likely possible to duplicate and scale your efforts to multiply your income.

One area that you may want to explore if you haven't is figuring out how to add continuity to your business model. For example, if you're selling 50 products a month for $25 each... if you could just figure out how to get 10 of those people to keep paying you $10 EVERY month, then you could increase your income by $100 each month without even increasing your sales.

I'm sorry guys- My wife's dad owns an office, and he let me set up my computers/ projector/ filing cabinets ..etc in it... for free... it's "my office"... We have a 1 bedroom apartment....

BUT, I am still laid off, and always needing money!!!

@NickBrighton- Very good idea, I might have to write up a little "guide"... maybe it's just my metabolism?!?! LOL..

@Kim & Allen- you guys are awesome...lol.... why so serious?? is this forum your home or something?? do you own this place??...lol

Honestly, people are always big & bad online... when in real life, they'd cower.... I just don't see why people seem to think because they have 2000 posts that they are something special?!?!....lol

Kim & Allen's posts did NOTHING to help me out... I'm asking a simple question "how to make some extra cash online"... and because of my "27 posts", compared to their "1500 posts"... i'm nothing, and my questions mean nothing!!!....therefore I should get NO HELP from the "senior members", who are actually acting more or less 10 years old, rather than assisting someone who has an honest request...

    Are you guys kidding?? lol....

Thanks to the rest of you who ACTUALLY helped out... I might just do the e-book.... googling it right now!! ... YOU GUYS ROCK!!

@OA- I wish you would have been the first person to respond to my thread....lol.... THANK YOU!!! You're really a good guy!! Honestly!! (I accept the criticism)...

Boosey, if you don't take this forum seriously, nobody here will take you seriously.

To answer your question, I'm a student, so I have very few bills of which to speak of and those are covered by my part-time job. By the time I graduate, I aim to be able to pay any and all bills including mortgage. I won't be getting a car because I don't plan on driving (call me what you will ).

When you have too much time and not enough money, the easiest way to get started would be article marketing I guess. All you need there is writing skills (and if you don't, money can take care of that), some SEO, niche identification skills, and time.

I'm in the midst of article marketing as it is right now!! (we gotta see how my results will pan out first... after e-zine denies 10 more of my articles )... But i'm working at it!!..

I'm very motivated, and WANT to make a lot more online... but i'm kinda stuck right now!! ya know?!

I'm AWESOME at SEO.. I own the 1st page of google (have 6 spots on G Page 1) for a 1,690,000 results search term... now I have to monetize my site...

Adsense doesn't really work to well... as the niche isn't too high-paying... and CPA offers aren't exactly amazing.... but i'm working at it!!

I've tried AC + Dragon Naturally Speaking, and it works... but it doesn't... ya know?..

We'll see how this pans out, maybe someone will throw a good hint out there!@!

You can earn extra money by being a SMART business person. Coming in here and insulting established members AIN'T gonna get you anywhere near making money. It will get you a reputation as someone who "not" to do business with.

        boosey and kenji -

The point being made was that there are signature rules and other forum rules that we all adhere to. You are no different.

Your post was confusing but you have explained. I think you need to do a search here on article marketing and some reading - if EZA refused 10 of your articles, you're doing something wrong. It can bring good results so worth while to learn more about it so articles are accepted and posted.

If you can write an ebook how you survive on $100 a month for food, that would be a best seller!

Being on the first page of google is good though don't know what you mean by the "results search term" - is that searches or competitors? If it is something you can monetize, I'd get some CPA and/or affiliate products on that site before I did anything else.

You know, it's absolutely crazy how some people act when they come into this form for the first time.

When I go into somebody's house, and they asked me to take off my shoes or hat. I do so and apologize for not knowing the rules, whether he gets mad at me or not for breaking those rules. I still give him the respect that he deserves.

Kay, don't drag me into his quarrel. I was merely voicing my opinion. Surely it would make sense for WF not to allow affiliate links as it is not getting any incentive from the promotion of member's links. There would be other reasons but who's counting, anyway. I do not put affiliate links on my signature. In fact, I do not put anything in my signature at all. I am here to buy stuff from members and to read and gain knowledge or to give help in areas I am good at.

I, however, personally feel it gives a member his unique character if we know what services or products he is promoting through his affiliate links. Surely we are not here to pry into how successful one is promoting a certain program or if an affiliate program is a scam or not, for there are other sites that are focused on such subjects.

Someone says WF is a social group and one can form a nice relationship here. This thread surely does not point to a beginning of such a thing ever happening. It is somewhat hostile and critical of the thread-starter.

I do not agree with Boosey that only senior members with many posts are prone to be sarcastic and holier than thou. It depends on who he invites into the discussion by the manner of his post or how someone chooses to interprete his post. More importantly, it is how he reply to posters. There will be some members who would beat you down and then pick you up later and there would be some members who misses the point in the post and get personal with the poster.

Sure, he is banned elsewhere. If he deserves to be banned here, then ban him. If not, we should not be washing his dirty linen here. That is not the point of his post here.

Having said that, I prefer to look at Boosey's post here and figure out exactly what he is saying or asking. It is obvious he is asking for help to improve his online performance. Now, whether he is making a million or not now, I feel we should not corner him until he is forced to explain himself profusely (or humorously or mockingly, whichever way one chooses to read it) by saying that his wife is supporting him.

Does it give anyone satisfaction that he lied or misquoted that his $100 a month on food seems like an impossible feat? Does it dawn on anyone that to spend only $100 a month on food is obviously impossible? If one would write a silly ebook on how one can spend only $100 a month on food, it would not be a best seller. It would be another scam.

So, most likely a portion of his cost for food could have been taken care of by his wife or some other means, but he is not saying. Perhaps, his cost of $100 per month is the actual amount he budgetted each month and the rest of his cost for food would have to be taken care of by someone else.

Can't we just ignore him if we do not believe him or else help him to answer his question, rather than talk at the fringes and, like he said, not helping him out at all? Can't we just relax and not get so critical. Come on, this is a forum, not a court.

          Just my two-cents worth.

    Yes!

I'm currently making five figures per month for my personal income. Usually about 2/3 is from my "real job" as marketing director for a options trading education company, and the rest from my personal internet businesses.

My personal business pays all the bills and the rest is just extra for important little things like the $80 bottle of Glenlivet (18 year) I bought last night.

How do you only pay $100 per month for food?

Wow, is all I can say. I came here looking to see if Boisy got his question answered about who makes money online, and if it's possible, and really he got nothing back but people fighting.

Is there anyone in this forum who makes a decent living online? An honest person who isn't going to cheat you out of your money?

So far I work full time as an accountant, at night I do the IM thing. I just put up a google adsense premade website (check internet link) and I'm already making about $3.00 a day. I know that's peanuts, but I hope in a few months time to make enough that I don't need my day job. That's my plan, I was hoping to read about some success stories, so I am disappointed. Traffic101 you could try to create your own content instead of using the adsense websites, it will be better for your SEPRs and you can focus on clickbank. How many clicks do you need to earn $3 a day? 12? Make 1 clickbank sale per day that pays you $20 and here you go - $20. It's easier than getting clicks though.

    1. Say goodbye to the cell phone, it is a luxury...
    2. Cut your hot water heater off when not in use (there goes $60 a month)...
    3. Cut the cable off, it is a luxury...
    4. Get rid of one car, having 2 is a luxury...

So now you have just cut your bills down by approx $500 a month..

To answer you question I have been debt free for many years now. I work online full time and have been doing so for over 15 years. I paid off my home in 6 years by working 100% online. I have no cell phone as I do not need it, I have no credit cards as I have no use for them, I own one car because I have no need for another...

I make enough to pay my normal bills, give 10% back to the good Lord, and help others out...

Yes, I make enough to pay the bills. I mainly do it through writing -whether for clients or through creating info products for sale.

If you start cutting back your expenses, the money you are already making can cover your bills (as was stated in a different post).

We have nearly eliminated our debt (both cars paid for, no credit cards - only a small amount left on mortgage), and I can tell you it makes a huge difference.

Trying to earn more now, as my monthly expenses nearly reach 6k per month. And hoping to gain more earning from the internet. Really envy on those that are making about 10k above per month.

I would say the best way to go about making an additional online income is through list building.

    1) Pick a niche you are interested / knowledgeable about
    2) Create a squeeze page with a free offer so good that it could be sold for money
    3) give very valuable information and occasionally promote other people's products or your own.

If you work hard in constantly you will start to see results and earn money. The two major reason people fail in this industry is greed and impatience.

I have just watched the 3 videos of the newly thing called big idea mastermind by Vick Strizheus. In video 2 which is the most important you get a free landing page creator and a smart tip where to actually try to market with some succes and you build a list in the process. He rambles for some time but stick with video 2 at least.

Yes I am making enough to pay bills and can save little extra. I am in PPD business and I love it, there is none to little competition on Google for those keywords in PPD. Only wish that I know that 3 years ago when was starting my IM venture with Adsense which is way to much saturated. But this is gold mine. With zero investment you can have easy $1000 per month if you know what you doing.

I've only been really starting the whole IM thing for about my second month now. While i haven't made much money yet, I've learned an incredible amount of stuff. For those who are article writing, I really would like to know how yall got your start. I tried setting up a gig on fiverr and no go. The free lance sites are just as bad because they want people with lots of ratings to do their jobs. Nevertheless I'm getting article writing jobs when I can get them and also doing paid forum posts and microjobs to get money on the side in order to invest in my business.

with respect toy our situation, simply earning to pay bills won't get you far. If you can do one thing and make money from it, then the key is to do more of the same, rather than look for new ideas.

Bluntly, you appear to be strapped with car repayments etc. Will cutting off cable kill you? Can you reduce your cell phone costs etc? Fast food... serious?

In your situation - and I have been there - best to try and cut your living expenses. Take a hit now and prosper later as I have done.

Use the money saved to cover essentials and reinvest online income to ramp up your business.

Good luck with it all. Unfortunately, i think you are approaching this from the wrong angle. Making more money means that you'll probably spend more and keep spinning your wheels.

1.Decide for a niche.Create your own product in that niche.Like an e-book. Make it quality stuff. Like it is of great value for your future subscribers.

    2.Set up a squeezepage.

3.Set up autoresponder. Deliever quality stuff to your subscribers. Put in affiliatelinks, like recommends, reviews etc..

4.Drive traffic. Lot of free ways to get targeted traffic.

    5. $400 to you

If you're going to promote ebooks as an affiliate, choose under-exploited keywords in HOT niches and come up with a unique angle to differentiate yourself......you need traffic to make a decent living. Hot niches deliver traffic, obscure niches can work but you have to setup LOTS of campaigns in obscure niches.

Other than that, get into PHYSICAL products. The traffic potential is insane, the traffic is 'buy ready' in many cases, and the lower commissions are more than made up for with the increased traffic.

Other than that, never underestimate the power of approaching local businesses in your area and making simple fanpages, tiny mobile landing pages and quick youtube videos for them. You can often make $500-$1000 easily for this kinda package all day long.

Hmmm... Reduce your outgoings if you can. Fast food, cable, extra cars are not necessary. I myself prefer only to get those things when the income from my business is enough to pay them outright. This way you redirect your earnings toward mortgage, car payments, and essentials, and can invest the rest in your business to make it grow quicker.

Not taking OP seriously with that amazingly sketchy site in the sig. If you put the same effort into making a legit site, perhaps you'd be better off right now. But anyway, in regards of actual advice...

You're in a forum with the war room, tons of posts with great info, and a nifty little thing called search. Use that search tool to find the "what to do if you're desperate" thread. That's just one of the many threads that can easily help you.

Concentrate on one form of marketing like youtube or craigslist and master it.

Find all relevant WSO's and pick the one that has the best reviews and do what it says.

Drop any sketchy techniques to make $$ and people will take you a lot more seriously.

There are too many ways to achieve success on this forum. Just pick a route and stick to it

Having lived on the cheap abroad, I can suggest ways to cut your food bill.

    1. 2 fried eggs for brunch. 2 slices toast, coffee
    2. 2 fried eggs with microwaved potato for dinner (with hot sauce), 2 slices toast, coffee
    3. crackers/grapes/cinammon toast for snacks

You can live on it forever - unless you eat for entertainment or comfort. Oh, by the way, you can also lose weight with this schedule. : )

Throw in the odd egg salad sandwich, spaghetti or kabob, you're saving all kinds of money from the food budget.

Are people seriously responding to the OP now? It's been 4 years since he made that post. He didn't bump the thread. So rather than respond directly to him, you could make a general response to the question, "do you make enough to pay the bills?"

In one word: yes. It took a while (due to my propensity for shiny object syndrome) but i eventually broke out of it. Yes, it is very possible.
