Which is the best format for e-mail course

I am creating an E-mail course to be delivered to my prospect over a course of a week.

My question is; which one would convert the most between sending out PDF's over a period of one week or just writing the course in the email directly.

My thoughts are:

1. Some prospects might find it difficult downloading PDFs

2. Emails in form of a course might be a bit too long if written directly in the email.

I know the best way to know if something works is to test it, however, i'd like to get some few pointers from warriors who have been there, done that.

Thanks...

The best format for you depends upon a lot of factors
like your target market, your subject area and your
    skill level in various media.

Testing is the only way to get the right answer direct
    from your audience.

However, of the two formats you've mentioned I'd guess
(and it's only a guess) that the full content in the e-mail
would work better than just content in PDFs.

    Why?

Because people like instant content delivered to them in
their inbox on a sliver platter.

With a PDF they have to go through the extra steps of
downloading the PDF and opening it up before reading
the content and clicking on links.

There are many other formats for delivering your content
such as multi-media content within a membership site or
even hard copies of manuals, CDs, DVDs, etc.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    Hey there Tunity,

I've got a question in response to your question...

    Why not do both?

If you're open to doing either method then do both. I like PDFs because they're easier to "brand" and some people will appreciate being able to save a good looking document to their computer rather than an e-mail. I find PDFs for enjoyable to read, myself.

Once you've done a few e-mails like that... ask your prospects which format they prefer. Your best market analysis will always come straight from your market itself. :p

Different people learn best in different formats. Personally, I believe in providing my clients, and prospects, with multiple formats of the same thing. This way they always get the content delivered in a way that suits them best.

Good luck with your project! Let us know how it goes.

    Cheers,
    -Adrian
