Talking about making your first money online

I would really like to have some input from you skilled warriors on how long time you spent in the beginning, before you made your first money online.

Currently I have a thread running in another section, because it belongs there (I have clarified it with the WF Support). There is a poll running which I hope some of you will participate in.

Thank you so much fellow warriors.

No need to make a thread if you already had a thread. Not trying to be rude but this topic has been made almost every day it seems, check the other hundred threads rather than making another please.

Have you tried using the search function on this website. It's overloaded with results that aren't relevant at all to your search. It would take too long to find an answer. I think the search function should be used to find something you previously read, that way you know what your looking for.

No harm in just answering the question and being helpful, after all this is what forums are for, asking questions and getting as detailed and helpful an answer as possible.

OP - I can't answer your question as i'm only starting out in this business myself.

Just saying, this is a thread about a thread they made. Another thread with this exact question was on the front page for the past couple days also.

That's exactly what I think too! The search function is hard to use if you don't have the specific title! Or maybe we just don't understand how to use it the right way?

By the way, I think tmoby is right, that a post like this has been posted lately. But this is a forum about making money online and every day new people arrive; People like us who don't find the search function satisfying or just prefer to find the topic without searching.

I just want to clarify that I don't blame anyone, who does not like this thread. The WF is a place where everyone can comment on almost everything as long they do it in a pleasant way.

If nobody participates in a given thread, it will automatically disappear.

You have to start somewhere...I started with Ebay and continued to scale up...Eventually I was able to take the money from Ebay sales and reinvest it into building my list and buying solo ads...It is definitely a process over time and not necessarily over night.

    Good luck!

I think it took me about 6 months to get up to a stable $600 a month in profit purely from affiliate programs. Then it took off rather quickly from there. I had eBay money to supplement my affiliate income when I started.

I relied on SEO to a huge degree in the beginning, so it took a while to get moving in regards to traffic (3-6 months).

Now I have new tools to use and resources to dip into so it takes far less time to start up a new project and turn it profitable.

Not long at all. My first ever project was when i collected a list of 60 subscribers, and then sent them all a broadcast email about my product being 50% off. Woke up with 2 sales in the inbox. Couldn't believe it.

I wrote a ebook in a niche I had a passion in. It took me 3 months to write and create the sales page (bare in mind I'm dyslexic and couldn't type for **** at the time!).

Thankfully I was making sales everyday with it as I was getting my traffic from Adwords (They was cool back then unlike now .

Everything's been said already for this duplicate thread to be just another common one.

Besides affiliate programs and the like, you can also check out other free lance jobs in the internet that would definitely make you earn your first payment in just two week or sometimes even less. There's odesk.com for example.

I started earning my income from online about three months ago only. I cannot say i started off with a business, but i think it was closer to it. I started offering my writing and designing skills and luckily some people hired me. That is how I started.

At the beginning it was hard. Sending out proposal and application to clients everyday. Writing cover letters and selling my services. I was quite sure I am doing it the right way, yet no one returned any of the application and proposal I sent out. Right then and there i realized that reputation in this line of business is a must.

I started cleaning out my blog page, uploading some portfolio of past works and Updating every webpage I have. After a month this process paid off and I got my first client. Since then my reputation flourish and my work continues.
