Someone suggested me that linkedin is a great source to get valuable clients but I dont know how!!

This WF is a best forum and I know that lots of talented peoples are visiting this forum regularly.. so I'm looking for some useful suggestion from them

Please dont go away.. reply me something

    Hey Redex,

No matter what you are trying to sell you (in your case - design services) your ability to get clients will almost immediately rely, and depend on a few things.

    1) Where you are scouting for them
    2) The offer (or inducement) you are giving, using to get them them to sign up for your services
    3) Proof of past work

    Being creative gets clients.

    Think to yourself.

"What advantageous and distinct benefit does someone get by buying my services instead of someone else's"?

Do you offer discounts for repeat customers (clients)?

Do you offer to do the work without getting paid till it's perfect?

Do you offer some sort of sample before they decided to fully commit?

    THINK.

Those items will get you unlimited clients.

    -Justin

Try to post your offer on "warrior for hire" section. Put some samples and reviews of your work, so people can see how worth your creation compare to your price.

    Best of luck,

    the old fashion way

get out there and start talking to people in your local area

get some business cards made up, get a port folio made up in a folder so you can show people
    there and then

this what i have done to secure offline clients and it works very well

Show them an impressive portfolio. Demonstrate the results you've gotten for others and show them what your designs look like! If it matches the aesthetic that your customer has in mind you nailed the client. The broader the better, it lets them know there's no "style" that you're incapable of imitating/creating.

Linkedin is really a good platform for professionals. And yes you can get allot of work if you utilize the maximum opportunities provided on that site. A piece of advice for you, try to get maximum number of contacts particularly people who can endorse you to others. That will make things even easier to move on.

Even hiring a service to do this for you would help you with the frustration of Craigslist's difficult posting conditions. But yeah, getting clients on freelancer websites and the 5th most visited site on the web, Craigslist. Also, sign up for more than one different webmaster forums. Get to know the community and post frequently, you will pull a few clients per week in forums.

Is it required everytime when you post a new ad or it is a registration process? I've checked CL statistic and I think there are a lot of potential clients are waiting for me

I'm done with the freelance design business, but I used to get the majority of customers from referrals. Get testimonials from your previous/current customers and add them to your site. Ask them if they can think of anyone who could use your services.

For LinkedIn Marketing join a few groups and look for questions related to building a website, designing marketing materials, etc... then answer questions with great free advice. Don't hard sell in your posts... if someone needs service and see that you know what you are talking about they are likely to get in touch with you.

And lastly, make sure your portfolio is kick ass! Eliminate any and boring or ho-hum content and just put your absolute best foot forward. A solid portfolio + real client testimonials should help seal the deal on new clients.

    Best of Luck!

Odesk is a good place where you can get clients although there are some who will try to get your services for a cheaper price. The thing is you have a choice if you want to accept their project or not but if you have a great portfolio I don't see any reason why some people in Odesk will not pay you better.

This guy Redexclub contacted me because I opened a thread with questions about webdesign. He said he could do the job for me. So I paid him $100.-
After that it all went downhill, he didn't deliver on time, not really a big deal so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Couple of weeks later he came with bullshit excuses that he was hit by a car, was sick, he didnt had internet bla bla bla bla. 2 months later and he is ignoring me completely: on mail, Warriorforum and on Skype.

Redexclub (Shafiq Sanchy) is a scammer so watch out. At least I got my money back with a chargeback on Paypal.
Watch out for this piece of s*** scammer.

    regards!

I really become ill and I couldn't deliver your project on time so I refunded your (UF payment $50) money. why you are calling me scam? and laying? this is not fair, man

Create your own website offering web design service. Provide some free stuff there or some one time offer. As you have stated, you are a freelance web designer, you must have account with oDesk, freelancer. The competition of web design field is much lower than anything else there. You can have a lot of client from there.

You are better than me as you said. I'm not a developer or designer, but my passion is web design, and I have no prior knowledge studying this field. I know just basic xHTML/CSS. I don't know Javascript, PHP, or programming languages. But, I can implement it!

Because Wordpress is my passion & desire, I always love to create custom themes and give them for free without any condition or upsell, and I even provide support to those of my free themes without any intention to make money with it.

But, I always get email requesting the quote to make a custom made website from the people I give out my free themes oftenly. Yet, who care that I'm cheap out myself to do for them without any money or conditions.

Finally, as I don't want anyhing from them, they decide to not let the free themes that touch their heart to blur away; they always donate me $5, $10, $50, and sometimes $100 for each of them monthly. WOW, the donations are larger than my actual business. I've got just about 79 people donate me every month, but my donation amount is never drop below $800/month.

That's just in my case. In addition, show 'em out about your skill by giving them the actual products first. It takes time but most effective as I faced.

You could go down to the local chamber of commerce and try to win over new clients.

You should start a website documenting the sites that you've built, and also case studies/elaborate testimonials from past clients.

Plus, have an organized system for converting leads into paying clients.
