I would suggest create your own product to sell on ClickBank, that way you will have others to promote the product for you.

Yeah I thought about hiring someone to create a product for me. (An expert in a niche)..

The only problem I see with that is getting the affiliates to promote my product.. are there methods for finding affiliates to promote your product? Any WSO's or ebooks you would recommend for that?

The fastest way is to promote yourself first, if your product become popular then other people will come to join as affiliates naturally.

Use it on advertising! Be creative, you'll need to conquest new markets/people/sites, don't just advertise on one site, spread it out over multiple sites and try new channels and methods to attract more visitors. You're goal is to build a userbase while con-questing new markets to increase traffic and profit, all while building those return visitors.

Hmmm, if I had 5k saved to invest in my marketing, I might invest SOME of it into having Kindle books ghostwritten (there are some offers here occasionally that are incredible deals - by excellent writers).

Also learn about how to market these books of course. Kindling is an outstanding course for that. This way, you can bring in some nice passive income over time.

I seriously think you should give it to me. Frank Kern replied to one of my emails one time so you know I will make you a gazzillionaire by morning.

It depends on your goals. If you want fast money you can create products and push them through WSOs. If you create a ClickBank type product I suggest putting it on all the other affiliate platforms as well.

Personally, I would drive traffic to my squeeze pages.

Keep the money until you have some business running and know how well it works for you. Build something, test it, get customers and if it is worth to make it bigger, then spend money on advertisement. If you spend your money earlier, you are going to lose it.

Don't spend the money because you don't need to... yet.

Most of the things you can do to get a proper IM business up and running are easily done by yourself. A little outsourcing along the way will help if you are not competent with certain tasks but I wouldn't just spend the money because you have it.

The single biggest thing that will make a difference to your success in IM is your own persistence and hard work. Money can't buy that. You can throw $5000 at plenty of things but majority of them will fail to give you the return on investment you are looking for. Throw some hard work and persistence at something and your results are likely to be much better.

You can work hard and be persistent at anything, but if you don't know what you're doing it will be a complete waste of time.

That so called mentor won't teach him anything he can't learn on his own. There are no hidden secrets and magic formulas on how to make money, its all about finding a niche the person likes or understands and profiting on it, thats all.

Perhaps you are correct and assuming he can find everything by himself, it may take a while.

It only took me 23 years worth of business so far to know what I know now. Perhaps coaching can speed up his learning of those things when someone like me shares things with someone prepared to pay for it. And for $67 per month to get access to that would last years compared to just one hyped inflated guru course.

        Time = life.

Exchanging money for time can be a terrific investment.

There are actually shortcuts as success is about doing the right things.

Working hard in the wrong direction increases failure.

You are right with that, but the problem is to know what offer is real and what not. There is many "gurus" who charge for coaching and never made $100 online, then there is a few really successful ones, who might help to make less mistakes when starting up. But for a newbie its almost impossible to choose who is right and who is not.

  • I suggest studying the things below, then decide if this'd be something worth your while:

    1. List down reputable vendors in Clickbank with products that you'd want to promote. Alexa's 10-point checklist in this thread could most likely help...

    2. Approach the Clickbank product vendors and offer your video development services for their pre-sell videos (among other videos that they'd be using in their network of sites, content syndication networks, ezine publication channels and guest posting partners). It's up to you if you want to give them a ridiculous discount for this, or give it away as a free service -- Your call...

    3. Tell them you'll sign up as their affiliate and that they should include your affiliate link (which points to their sales pages) in the pages where they'll be using the videos you'll create for them.

    4. Also tell them that doing it this way will not only give them unique video content that they can use, but free marketing services from you as well, since you'll be using your own resources to promote the pages where they'll use your videos, so they can get more leads and product sales, which in turn will generate more commissions for you as their affiliate...

    5. Plan and implement your marketing campaigns for those pages where your videos will be used by those Clickbank product vendors...

This'll be a win-win situation for you and for those Clickbank product vendors. They'll get unique videos and an affiliate (you) who'll promote the pages where they'll use those videos. You will on the other hand benefit from the campaigns that'll be implemented by those Clickbank product vendors to promote those same pages in order to sell their products (linked by your affiliate link in those pages)... You'll be able to implement your own marketing campaigns for those pages. And, you can promote non-affiliate links (pointing to those pages with your videos and affiliate links) in online places heavily trafficked by prospect leads and buyers, such as relevant Web forums, blog networks, social networks and other online communities. You can also implement PPC/PPV/PPM, private advertising and solo email advertising campaigns for the non-affiliate links which point to those pages with your videos and affiliate links...

5,000 $ is a good sum to start a serious project with.

You can spend it on a wide variety of advertising services.
I'd go and join ClickBank and start selling my own services.

If you need, with that kind of money you could outsource some of your work.

I think it's enough to start a serious project.

Then ask yourself: how you will be making ROI.

Otherwise, even with 1,000 $ you could still do a great job.

If I were you: I'd calculate how much the project will cost and spend that money on it. I wouldn't spend the entire 5,000 $.

Don't just start with a total sum and consume it... Think about what you need, calculate how much that would cost and I guess there will be plenty of money left for you!

If you do decide that you want to create your own product, just make sure that you take every single customer that comes through the door and buys your product and give them the option to become an affiliate too.

This should be a part of your back office when the customer is sent to your back office download page.

I say find a niche, do free advertising to see which niche converts the best. Once you know how to convert it well, start putting a few hundred dollars into ppc ads and once you start mastering this, than you can start unloading the money once you know how to professionally promote your niche. Don't put all your eggs in one basket until you know what converts.

So, I was wondering what is "hot" right now that I could work on.. Is it still affiliate marketing with Clickbank or Amazon?

Couple things to take into consideration:

    1. I have $5,000 saved up to spend toward this project.
    2. I already have web hosting.

I'm kind of knowledgeable in many aspects of marketing due to learning from the videos I've created.

So, where's a good place to start?
    1. Don't touch the money right now.

    2. Find a niche that is not "hot", but something that will stand the test of time. Something that is not only popular now, but has been in the past and will be 5-years from now too.

    3. Nope. You can't touch the money yet.

    4. Dive deep into research on what you discovered in #2.

    5. Only touch as much of the money as needed to start the business..don't get carried about with spending thinking you know how it works or what your results will be. Instead conduct small scale tests, and keep testing, testing, testing.
