Long time no post: I never thought it success would happen

I stumbled in here about 3 years ago blissfully ignorant. I had just trained with Tony Robbins to be a life coach. I had no idea how to build a coaching business but I started to work by tons of trial and error to adapt some of the lessons in here to my business. At first it was like shoving a tiny wee snowball up a bloody great mountain and with a ton of determination and many mistakes along the way, I now have a thriving business. Not only do I coach but I help other coaches to create their niche markets and how to build them, using so much of what I read in here. If your feeling discouraged today, close to giving up, wondering if it will ever happen for you, I hope my words will give you strength and hope to keep going. Thank you to all the warrior`s that helped me, the good, the bad and the ugly. It is all grist to my mill.

    Well done.

You did what 99.9% of people don't do:

You continued pushing that snowball up the mountain, no matter what.

Most people get a snowball and think they can throw it to the top of the mountain, in one throw. When they see it has only landed a few yards away from them, and not even made it to the start of the mountain, they turn their back and walk away.

    Well done :-)

The biggest mistake people make is giving up :-) Keep going is always the way forward

There are many things you can do to guarantee your success, but only one thing will guarantee your failure: quitting.

Congratulations on avoiding that mistake. Now you're reaping the rewards.

I heard this powerful quote from Brian Tracy just today, "If you're not sure if you should stay where you are, or move forward; always move forward."

    Awesome!

The first few steps into uncharted territory are always the most daunting.
Fail-fast and fail-often and you'll soon figure out what not to do setting you up for success.

    Keep rock'n

Beautiful little post Carol. A good reminder that anyone who is not prepared to use set backs and 'failures' as a launch pad for success has a very limited chance at making it.

It's easy to say 'embrace the hard times' when you're looking back on them; but when you're in that place the key is to know that someday you will be looking back at them and will not stuck in a loop of failure. That only happens when you look at the blips as learning (school).

So many things can be said about this, but this kind of sums it up:
'Your most valuable asset can be your willingness to persist longer than anyone else.' ~ Brian Tracy

Thanks for the share Carol, and all the best for your continued good fortune.

I love that! I often think of the internet as a huge hill (like the one I have outside of my window that I often walk/jog up) and when I am walking up that hill, I am mentally walking up the hill of whatever obstacles are in my way online. It always helps to clear the cobwebs! Thank you for your inspirational post! Kristie from Georgia

Good Job, all it takes online and in business is the ability to persevere when times are tough.

You're a perfect model for why failing = success if you just keep moving forward.

Very nice post. I love these types of threads because you probably had a ton of doubts throughout the process but kept going until you shattered them to pieces.

    Nice job.

I'm sure others have criticized you for your aim to be a life coach, as I'm sure all life coaches face the same type of criticism. But you did it anyway and succeeded in spite of that.

    Hats off

Congratulations! Your example confirms that determination is very important.

I can tell you that when I saw how impossible it was to beat the fierce competition I found online I felt like a drop in the ocean, but I kept going on like you, even while facing numerous unexpected problems, besides the problems that most people usually face.

Many times I felt I was wasting my time for insisting on my plans, but I knew that I had to be persistent because I believed in the value of my work. Then, I found solutions I didn't expect to find. This was a surprise for me, after all the problems I had to face.

Exactly when I was tired, thinking that I would never be able to beat the competition, something happened to help me out: word of mouth. I had never thought about trying to use this method, but it was working by itself.

If you never give up, something will be favorable for you someday, besides all the difficulties you may have until you will get there.

The biggest reason people fail is because they give up too soon.

    Don't say:

I will try and see if it works.

    Go with the attitude of:

It ain't over till I win.
