ok

last night a created my first web page which im going to try and sell a click bank product (first time using xsitepro)

i made the page , but then every time i now click on "web pages , then design" it takes so so long to load !! Sometimes it loads sometimes it seams like it doesn't so i then end task it

and sometimes the palate above where you can change the font size , colour ,italic etc ,disappears and is not there , so i am not able to edit any text

i find i have to either close the program or restart the computer to sort it out

anyone else have these problems in xsitepro

thanks

I used to use XsitPro myself. I still have a number of CB sites built with the software. You can do a cracking job with it once you get used to using the software which is perfect for sales pages.

    Re: your question.
This may not be the answer but I did experience a similar issue a couple of years ago. It took me almost a month to sort out and support couldn't find the issue either but the problem turned out to be a graphic. Make sure that all of the graphics uploaded to the XSP graphic folder do not contain spaces.

    For example

    Graphic one.png

I found that having the space messed everything up. Go through and make sure there are no spaces in your graphic names. If there are delete them, then rename-then re-upload.

    Graphic-one.png

It's the only thing that worked for me, hope it helps.

It's a long time since i used it to be honest and the software is installed on an old PC which i haven't fired up for some time. Now I think of it you may have to search through all of the files for the specific website. I can't remember which tab it is (think it might be 'Settings'), anyway i think it's one of the tabs at the top. When you find the right tab there will be a screen containing options such as 'Breadcrumbs' and 'Scripts' etc look for something there regarding files and then search through.

Sorry I cant be more certain, all of this is from memory. It's definitely there somewhere

Please don't take this the wrong way but did you actually ask the people you paid to use their product?

kinda , i looked on the site and found the answer in the form of what the 2.5 update does

        3. Code added to help prevent infinite loops when using the {%RANDOMTEXT%} token.

i deleted the {%RANDOMTEXT%} and it started runing like a dream , but now its doing it again

i disabled IE which was recommended and worked for someone ...im gutted , ill have to file a ticket and find out why

Yeah that is odd. I used it many years ago but haven't for some time.

I'd definitely file a ticket or contact them, you paid for it so they should show you how to deal with it.

          Good luck.

XSP was excellent in it's hay day, even now i use it for some solutions.
Just an FYI though in case you just purchased.
It's basically been abandoned, there were some much needed updates that were in the pipeline but the developer has been "sick" (lost interest).
    Just check the members forum....

You may want to checkout WYSIWYG Web Builder, Webplus X6 or similar...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Yes, I did get an email from Paul Smithson about six months ago looking for someone to take it over due to ill health. It's a real shame nobody took the reigns and moved it forward as it really was a great solution.

I still have some very profitable sites built with XSP
