I believe the best way to get "Profitable" in creating content is to demonstrate just how good you are. Develop a website, create content then you will be able to show real world results, once you do that you will not have to sign up for any service company (to work for someone else at a pittance) Follow that road and people will come to your door.

There are many ways to earn handsome, consistent income from content writing.

    • You can offer a service here on Warriorforum or other forums where clients order articles and you write for them.
    • You can register and find work on iwriter.com
    • You can register on Fiverr and create writing gigs there to get orders.
    • You can register on freelance sites, create a good profile and bid on various writing projects.
    • You can create PLR packs of articles and sell them on your site, tradebit, forums or elsewhere.
    • You can write reports in various niches and sell them as PLR reports or create a membership site where members can pay you monthly amount to get a specific number of PLR reports each month.
    • You can write detailed ebooks and try to sell them on Kindle.
    • You can write blog posts on topics of your interest and try to earn money by promoting related affiliate products through those blog posts.
So you see there are dozens of ways to make money online. You just have to stick to one or two methods and do the best that you can for making money through those methods.

If you have any further questions, I may be glad to offer whatever assistance I can. All the best.

Build your own website. Using content marketing to drive traffic to your site. Make sales. It's very easy and effective tactic. It'll take time (sure) but it'll work.

I second this. Selling your writing might let you make a quick buck, but it'd be a better investment to spend that time building your own sites.

Get an auto responder and build a list with your content. You can write 5 articles on a hot topic and offer one article per 50 subscribers as plr. Create messages that entertain and teach along with targeted offers and you may have a winner if done right.

Set up an ad in the Warriors for hire section of this forum and if you are good like you say, you will not only get some orders rolling in but you will also get repeat business.

Also make sure you put a link to your ad on your signature on here and that might get you some business as well.

    Good luck!

You could offer article writing services which is always in demand. You could offer your services on here, on Fiverr or any other freelancing site like oDesk or elance. Try and find a niche to be an expert, preferably one that isn't too popular but still has a lot of customers willing to pay good amounts for work.

If you want to make money from content creation... you can open a fiverr account, odesk or freelancer, and start writing articles... you can get up to 1.5$ for 100 words, or more if you have some special abilities (be sure to emphasize them).

Articles are very popular. Trial MarketSamurai or TrafficTravis, research keyword, and make a great articles. That way you'll get repeated costumers. I know on my example... when I found nice guy from Nigeria, I am sticking to him all the time

I meant get a lot of value in articles! You can not be better than the competition by providing an average service... You might find it to be too long and tiring at the beginning, but it will be quicker and quicker with time (:

$1.5 for 100 words? Basically 15 dollars for 1000 words? Sounds horrible.

      My advice is:
      • Avoid content mill or freelance sites like plague unless of course you're rushing to make money. Always remember, a mindset of scarcity kills the writer and clients do not respect writers who get paid pennies!
      • Get yourself a website
      • Create relevant content on your blog along with relevant pages (about, hire me, contact etc.)
      • Pitch to Job Boards who you think would pay you great and work on your email writing skills
      • Once you score some decent clients on Job Boards, put on your research hat and find clients that are in need of content through Google, Twitter, Google+, or LinkedIn and email them.
      • Try and follow them up and learn to market your site while you're at it. Check this link on WF: All In One Traffic Tips
      • Lastly, give yourself an hour to learn/practice commercial writing/copywriting. Go grab books like The Well-Fed Writer, The Secrets of Freelance Writing, Writer's Market, and a decent marketing book.
Follow these steps and avoid getting distracted. You should also never be distracted by different experts/gurus of content writing. Find and 3 experts and stick to them. If you can do this, you'll make some good cash.

P.S. Yes, work on your writing skills.

Content mills are a good way to start as you earn right away and most pay weekly. Though, the pay is very low and you have to write a number of articles daily to make it worthwhile. If you have no clients, best to earn something rather than nothing but build a portfolio first. Then go off and show your quality to higher paying clients such as ad agencies, magazine publishers and blogs.

I'd avoid the article mills. When I first started working online, that's the route I went and it takes a lot of work to make a little money when you're getting paid $5 or less per article. Even if you write fast, you're going to have to spend long hours at the keyboard before you make anything that even remotely resembles an income. If you write good articles, you might be able to make more as a freelance writer offering your services here and on sites like o-desk and elance.com.

If you're looking for longer-term income, Kindle books or e-books are a much better option. If you can write articles, you can write books and a decent book with a halfway decent cover should make you more than what you'd make if you'd spent the same amount of time writing articles. The best part is the more you write, the more you make. You're building a recurrent source of income instead of writing articles that are helping other people build their incomes.

Here's a really good idea. Content creation can make you money if you can become a middleman and resell the services, while you doing a lot less in your part. This can help you focus on only thing that we like doing is getting quality leads and traffic, while the hard work gets done by somebody else.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[9372574].message }}

Firstly, if you good at content writing then you can apply for content writer’s post in a good company. Or you can also get some projects from free lancing sites like elance.com, odesk.com and freelancers.com.

You can make money with content creation if your content is useful to your target market. You should also be precise with the keywords you are using in your articles or blog posts.

You can use Google AdWords to know which keywords are most searched.

I'd highly recommend building a professional-looking website to promote your writing services.

I used to get most of my work through freelance sites and I was lucky if I earned 50-60 bucks in a single day.

After I launched my website, I started getting business from private clients who were willing to pay a lot more. Some were customers I'd worked for on bidding sites that found my site through Google.

I also got several clients via referrals and a few from posting on writing forums. All of them contacted me through the e-mail form on my website.

I currently have three clients that I work for on a daily basis who provide me with at least 75% of my work. It's much better than bidding on jobs and working for 20 different people every week.

So, yeah... build a website, drive traffic to it, and keep working on your writing skills. You'll be amazed how much you can improve just by writing 500 words a day. The more you write, the better you'll get. Also, it wouldn't hurt to pick up a copy of The Elements of Style by William Strunk. It'll teach you how to tighten up your prose, eliminate unnecessary words, and write for an audience. Best of luck!
